I don’t think it’s negative to want a true football pyramid and the franchise model doesn’t want to be part of that. I don’t think it’s true that people on here are ‘attacking ‘ the A League but for many Frank Lowy started THIS divide and Lowy jnr and David Gallop exacerbated it.

    It’s football, that’s all that matters.👍

I think FA will broadcast it on YouTube similar to what they are doing with the Australia Cup. Maybe try to sell it later once it is established.

I doubt any of the f8 will want to fork out $20 million to play in a moribund league.

I certainly hope SMH don’t join the A-League, we need to get the Championship up and running to have any chance of pro and semi football moving forward. Many A-League clubs and the APL itself are on life support so for the Championship to fold before it even gets started would be a disaster. It...

I’m not into cryptic forum posts but I’ll take a stab at it. You are attempting to link upcoming Championship participants attendance figures during the state premier leagues seasons with the A League attendances…how am I doing so far?l Further, you are trying to extrapolate that to ‘an if and...

I presume that’s a guesstimate, however I don’t see how you are trying to link that with A League attendances.

If you are referring to the attendance can you advise me what that was.

Yes, for me that’s the only way forward.

I will clarify, I was referring to the professional and semi professional game.

The only sensible thing to do is to get all of football under the one umbrella. Australia is too small a market to have multiple administrations running the sport.

If I remember correctly JJ gave them the ‘hurry on’ with regards to standing on their own two feet.

No idea but I doubt FA under JJ would be so generous, ‘they made their bed they have to lie in it’.

At the end of the day it’s all football and the more eyes on the game the greater the impact on the recognition of football as a major sport.
