Maybe if you read the SMH report it will give you some idea but a large portion of the loss seems to be attributable to an amount due from the APL which has been written off. It might be better to wait for the annual report which is due at the end of the month.

I believe JJ brought a sense of professionalism to the administration of the sport. Hopefully he has changed the parochialism that has bedeviled the game since the year dot. The new initiatives he has brought are too numerous to mention and, hopefully, his successor will continue on the same...

At this point in time it is an annual tournament but JJ is on record as saying that hopefully the Championship will become full home and away. That’s contingent on a number of things so I think it’s too early to worry about the format beyond this initial season.

If ‘start again’ means running the professional level in the same way as the last 20 years then I don’t think it will move forward.
