Cost of junior fees article

In NSW Football NSW charges all clubs insurance that goes into a pool for medical for players etc.

The big NPL clubs pay 50-100K per year.

The 'gouging' juniors argument is a reoccuring, simpleton argument.
A myth that refuses to die i find

But indeed i was surprised to learn nsw seem to charge more than vic. Wonder what the reason is?

Sorry grazor, should have added... good read :P ....
Its not gonna do anything to stop the same old tired "but NPL clubs fleece mum and dad to pay their senior players" that the same old protectionists use as make believe hurdle to pro/rel...

So where is the money going?

NSW NPL Boys U13-U18 2025, Fees are $3321
Note that the New Play Football Registration system has a few bugs and is very frustrating to use.

Letter from our NPL youth club today.

SUBJECT: Changes to PlayFootball and registration of players
As some of you may be aware, PlayFootball recently made upgrades to their system. As part of this, PlayFootball (Football Australia) and Football NSW have advised our club (without input) the limited options for players to be able to register and pay for their registration.
Essentially, Football Australia and Football NSW will now take their fees out at time of registration instead of previous practice of invoicing the clubs in arrears.
As a consequence, this will require players to register and pay for their registrations only through their PlayFootball website.
Participants will be required to pay the full registration fee up front 7 days prior to the closing of the registration window. We understand the registrations are to be actioned by the following dates:

BYL – 31 January 2025;

Football NSW have advised that anyone who doesn’t complete the process within required time frame will not be registered.
We sympathise and share the frustration for families of this news.
