NPL: most Perth grounds...

Oz: WACA, Optus Stadium, Subiaco Oval, Fremantle Oval, HBF Park
(Glory have played at all these venues at some time in their history)

MCG, Hindmarsh, AAMI Park, Belmore, Latrobe City Stadium
(seeing Socceroos v Iran both a highlight and a lowlight...)

Europe: City Ground, Craven Cottage, Stamford Bridge, Stadio Olimpico, Red Bull Arena(Salzburg), Polish Army Stadium
(Saw Legia Warszawa v Korona Kielce just a few days ago. Ordinary game, but seeing the ultras in action...)

Great list..... Polish football must have been crazy...

I have been to Toumba a number of times in Thessaloniki. Last time was a derby vs Olympiakos.

Do not remember anything from the games. The atmosphere is incredible and hard to describe in words.

Non football but I’ve been to a number of NBA games which eventually had special meanings:

- 2008 saw Derrick Rose in his rookie of the year season
- 2010 again Derrick Rose in his MVP season
- 2010 saw Miami vs Dallas in Miami. First season of the Heatles (Lebron, Wade,Bosh) vs Nowitzki, Kidd, Terry etc. The tickets cost me and my now wife a fortune but worth every cent. The two teams would eventually play in the finals that season.

Toumba is an absolute hellhole if your not a PAOK fan... have only been once (in the 90s when away fans were allowed) and can honestly say it was one of the few times in my football life where I wasn't 100% sure of leaving in one piece from a ground...

I have probably forgot a few, done some mental travel over the years:

Ukraine:

Black Sea (Chernymoretes - Odessa)
Mykolaiv Central Stadium (oldest professional club in Ukraine until dissolved due to war)

Russia:

Spartak Stadium
Dynamo Central Stadium (Moscow)
Luzhniki
Eduard Streltsov Stadium (Torpedo Moscow - probably the coolest, most rough surroundings)
Krestovsky Stadium (Zenit)
Dynamo Stadium (Vladivostok)

Georgia:

Boris Paichadze Arena (Dynamo Tbilisi)
Central Batumi (Dynamo Batumi)

Turkey:

Alanya Oba Stadium (most fun club in Turkey)
Antayla Stadium

Greece:

Zakynthos Stadium (lol)

Italy:

Maradona (Napoli)
San Nicola (Bari)

Germany:

Olympiastadion (Berlin)

Spain:

La Rosaleda (Malaga)
Atleti (Madrid) old ground
Santiago Bernabeu (CL night which was nice)
Rico Perez (Alicante)
Camp Nou
Mirandilla (Cadiz)
Mestalla (Valencia - unreal, shame about the recent news of it being knocked down)
Mallorca's ground (annoying drive if you stay north of the island, no street lights at night driving up.
Ibiza's ground

Portugal:

Alvalade (Sporting Lisbon)
Algarve Stadium (Farenese)

UK:

Pretty much all the London Premier League clubs with a special out to The Den, best ground in England however if you are at a night game, it's rough getting home unless you are staying around Lewisham but then you have to survive the walk/bus. Lose/lose.

Mexico:

Estadio Azteca
Olimpico Andres (Cancun)

USA:

Shell Energy (Dynamo Houston)

New Zealand:

Wellington's ground, Sky Stadium (lol)

Japan:

The National Stadium

Ajinomoto (FC Tokyo/Verdy)

Todoroki (Kawasaki)

Qatar:

Stadium 974

Holy shit thats a damn impressive list... kudos to you...

Just noticed Kawasaki Frontale's ground looks ghastly with the shape and running track. Made me check J League stadiums. Also got the question answered that the island of Shikoku has teams in the 2nd tier.

I didn't realise so any have running tracks. Horrible. Nagoya looks a right ground as does Gaba Osaka and Cerezo Osaka have a nice all seater.

I don't mind Minnesota's ground in the MLS.

I think I can actually list every ground I've been to. I unfortunately don't travel much, so....

  • Hanwood Oval
  • Solar Mad Stadium (Griffith)
  • Henderson Oval (Yoogali)
  • YellowTail Park (Yoogali)
  • Griffith Exies Oval
  • Coro Club Oval (Griffith)
  • West End Oval (Griffith)
  • MIA Sports Field (Leeton)
  • Leeton No. 1 Sportsground
  • Stan Peters Oval (Hillston)
  • Hay Park
  • Hardinge Street Oval (Deniliquin)
  • Marconi Stadium (Sydney)
  • Powhatan Park (Sydney)
  • AAMI Park (Melbourne)
  • Melbourne Cricket Ground
  • GIO Stadium (Canberra)
  • Stadium Australia (Sydney)
  • Marvel Stadium (Melbourne)
  • Parramatta Stadium (before rebuild)
  • Seiffert Oval (Queanbeyan)
  • Deakin Stadium (Canberra)
  • O' Connor Enclosed Oval (Canberra)
  • Gungahlin Enclosed Oval (Canberra)
  • Riverside Stadium (Queanbeyan)
  • Greenway Enclosed Oval (Canberra)
  • Cockbundoon Oval (Goulburn)
  • ANU Willows (Canberra)
  • McKellar Park (Canberra)
  • Kambah Oval (Canberra)
  • Hackett Oval (Canberra)
  • Woden Park (Canberra)
  • Australian Institute of Sport (Canberra)
  • Narrabundah Oval (Canberra)
  • Melrose Synthetic Oval (Canberra)
  • Waramanga Oval (Canberra)
  • Ipan Park (Canberra)
Dang, I missed one - Central Coast Stadium in Gosford. Granted, was for Rugba Leeg, and not Football though. If I take off grounds I went to not for Football, that would remove MCG, Marvel, Parramatta, and Seiffert Oval
Have added Pambula Sporting Complex (home of Pambula United on the Far South Coast) - not for an actual match unfortunately, was just in the area and went past for a little sticky beak.

Fortunately the bro is not a boasty person so when Liverpool win, I don't cop it too much. I guess only one of us could be the sane one in the family, had to be me.

Bruce is definitely a legend back home. He's my profile pic. The man was an absolute maniac, but he was so good. At times it got a bit too much, but overall, he's fondly remembered for his time at Liverpool. Everything after that doesn't really exist.
