OK fellas,

Thought I'd bring this up for those interested to discuss - no matter what/where your fav football viewing is everyone knows and have watched these to 2 modern day exceptional players at their Clubs NT/WCups etc the last 20yrs, you'd be a mug if you don't know them being football followers.
It sprung to mind having just read a short article by Rodri having played both of them his POV......Rodri is a beast of a DM, even though he was young when playing these 2 he's no mug on judging opposing players he's been up against.

Their records/careers speaks for themselves, both destined to be stand outs by their commitment/drive/ambitions from humble beginnings.
TBH its been great having them together for I'm sure the competition spurned them on, mind you imo one more than the other.
There will always be the great debate from top flight players/gaffas/media/supporters - both different styles hence how your influenced who you tend to side with.
Personalities polar opposites - I think this influences alot of peoples opinion as well.
I marvel how they have performed under so much expectation/pressure/being marked by 2/3 players many games, taken out - hardly recall any bad injuries suffered by either of them, now isnt that amazing how many friggin minutes they have played.
Those El Clasico games, the build ups, how many would make sure to watch them - spanish football - they might be just the 2 main clubs to many but wow it sure is dynamite.

I'm saddenned their careers nearing the end (well they have virtually), seriously they have been brilliant to watch over the years and just think how many kids they have inspired over their career, amazing stuff.

C'mon man Crsitiano isnt even the best "Ronaldo"

am I surprised by the bait - await robbos to say his peace and a cast of thousands, surely people like to express their pov on these 2.

Messi shades Cristiano. He often appeared to be out of the game then suddenly could turn it on its head with a weaving run, superb pass and deadly finish.Ronaldo had a terrific shot and in his early days his pace and ability to control the ball was amazing. However the little Argentinian seemed to always able to control the game ( Cruyff was similar in the seventies).
