Triumph ! classic !
If only they stayed together better but the Poms made some wonderful vehicles back in the day......shame their manufacturing went up the poop.
We do have a other sports interest thread more so motor racing that one bloke here says all they do is go round and round but I forgive him.
Here was one of my dream models back in the day.
Higher end sure but what a classic - the first silver one, when I saw these on the roads I fell in luv.

Yeah rad cars.

I bought a Porsche about 5 years ago brand new.

Would never do that again. They’re a pack of cunts

It was fun for the first year then I had lots of problems

Would

Absolutely love ❤️

I've got a mate on another forum who is a Porsche officianado. I'll try and get his opinions on this whale of a tail....

Although if I was looking to invest I'd be heading down this road.

The early 911’s were temperamental buggas the drive - like a 2stroke motor crosser of old.
Didn’t know when the power would come on unless you knew it and the clutch’s were bitchs.
Mind more modern ones are far easier due to tech - anyone can drive them compared to the early days.
Yer very nice specimen that black one - cool low stated and class.
What did you get tsf ? I’d never buy new might I add.
I can’t deal with the loss depending the model.

I'm not really a car person (they're all A-to-B mobiles as far as I'm concerned) but a few years ago I had the royalties from three books burning a hole in my pocket and wanted to do something meaningful with it.

It occurred to me that it might be fun to have an interesting car so I put my royalties, plus what I'd normally pay for a new car, plus my trade in all together... plus another $10k to get an Audi TT. I wanted a manual so had to wait 4 months for it to be specially made and shipped out from Germany. It's a nice looking car and I do enjoy driving it but...

Mr C reminds me of my wife just A to B.
I wish I was like that for I’ve had a passion for 2 and more so 4 wheels all my life one of my other passions therefore it has taken up some of my time - my ex bro in-law called it the penis extension haha
Not bad those TT’s Mr C pretty nice going 2door - I just cringe what they may cost as they age meaning any euro but they make nice cars !

Older cars are temperamental, they aren’t as reliable, they are always slower than a comparable modern car, they use more juice and require more maintenance. But I just think that driving old motors is fun. Because while technological evolution provides us with products that perform objectively better than the older versions of themselves, technology often makes those very products duller and less engaging. This is particularly true when something mechanical is substituted by something electric/electronic. The latter are better, but not as interesting, nor -at often times- as engaging.....certainly not for me..

If I was made PM for a day and could make one law that could never be reversed I'd ban electric cars......ha!

Years ago me and Mrs EZ rented an Audi TT for a week in Melbourne and beyond. I made that thing walk and talk around the mean streets down there, great car.
Yeah, mine corners like a dream and when the turbo cuts in it's pretty wild. There's a steep hill near my place which I can zoom up - just about the only time I can (briefly) floor it.

yes MrC we got to treasure our license's, revenue raising stinks.
Can imagine the TT is like a go kart.

I hear you completely and happy I grew up during the great times of motor cars and I also work in the Aftermarket parts Industry for a long time and manage Distribution here and Export business so yer, cars are part of my life.
Don't build them like they used in the name of progress.
I'm a big fan of many cars from the 60/70's but they are not good dailys anymore garage queens and great for weekend cruising.
I'd luv to have a fleet but alas $$$$$ and you the space and a workshop set up.
I've had quite a few nice cars that I build up in my younger days and still own a couple of local later model Falcons that I cherish and detail.
I am considering in buying a project for my sons would love working on it but I'll see - everything is so OTT in price incl wrecks and I'm not going to invest a ground up rust bucket resto.
