World Cup Qualification Thread for 2026 - Socceroos/Asia

Oh dear Joel King kept onside for both goals the Korean side.

He probably kept the oppenents onside 4-5 times already in AFC elite 2

Someone should lecture him to know how not to keep the opposition onside all the time.

And Courtneys-Perking should stay away from the socceroos. He was awful.

add that the lack of pressure in sydney's press....it has been a really poor defensive performance

This is the same side that smashed the Saudis 2-0, the same Saudis that out played us at home and we were lucky to get the draw.
So if they can do that to SA, can you imagen what they will do to us. Like i said we draw at best.
I think maybe you are Indonesian. Indonesian fans are everywhere in all ASEAN board and all social.

The 1st game vs Australia at your own turf Indonesia couldn't do anything. You couldn't get out of your own half. Lucky it was a draw.

Beating Saudi is just an accident in football just like Saudi beating Argentina. I bet Indonesia wont finish the top 4 in this group.

Dont you worry Japan will destroy your dream in the last game of this qualification.

This Indonesian side would find it hard even to beat Thailand. You will go back to your reality soon in this window.

We've usually heard a few whispers or leaks of players to be named by this stage. Surprised we've not heard too much.

Club game times for some probable this weekend.

Irvine, Balard: Friday night. Ryan plays late Saturday night and Rowles 3 hours later. Randers are on late Sunday. Edinburgh clubs Saturday. Dundee derby Sunday. O'Neill Sunday lunch.

oniell with the weekoff with a cheeky red card

Reading this knowing we have a game on Thursday night really does make you think that it would be impossible not to place a high priority on match conditioning/travel time.

Picking the best squad on form possibly might not be the deciding factor in this modern age sadly.

Indonesian? I think he is a Kiwi.

It's just so vital that he flies out much earlier. Club release date etc but surely they see sense and let him get the ground covered early. Also Irvine and Balard on Friday is good news.

I really don't expect John Iredale to be picked but the slightly less travel makes you wonder.

Really expecting to see the squad with a few wtf? and some obvious yet annoying choices. See how we go. You scroll the list and then realise 3 or 4 decent names are missing.

Not expecting Baccus or Yazbek. Yazbek looked sharp on the ball. I swear Hrustic gets picked.... Yet he's not got Segecic and McGree in the way.

That's why I feel we should have started a few more A League members against Saudi. There's a certain sharpness about it.
