Some guy protesting gets carried away in the heat of the moment and does something stupid I can understand - not agree with but understand.

If this guy (or more than one) came down specifically to do this its another story altogether is my point.

We are kidding ourselves if we believe the RBA is independent. They absolutely have shares and portfolios like everyone else and not being provided information as to who voted what is an affront to true transparency.

Apparently we spend half the OECD average on aged care. With predictable outcomes.

Not having a go at anyone hear but having an aunt and an uncle in aged care you'd be lucky to see anyone working there, in a caring capacity, that's not an immigrant. Good for them but it's illustrative that nobody from Australia thinks that sort of work is for them.

And that's after Albo gave them all a 25% pay increase.

Maybe, if we want nice things, like good aged care and good child care, taxes should go up a tad so they can be funded properly. Just throwing it out there.

That's usually what people say so they can assuage their guilt because they don't donate.

Charities are audited and their finances are publicly available.

Most, the vast majority, pass on 90% of their income, or more, to those that need it.

I'm not here to guilt you. I've just noticed a lot of people with zero empathy tend to say things like 'there's no point donating, none of it gets to where it's going anyway'.

Not that it's a competition but we sponsor 3 kids in Africa and have done for 22 years.

While I do think it's completely grotesque, I have to admit I have heard of people pissing on other people during sexual relations. But never shitting on them. That's a new one for me...

Pissing and shitting should really only be done in toilets, unless emergency situations arise. Anyone doing either on a fellow human being needs to get psychiatric help asap.
