Ryan Reynolds-owned Wrexham set to face Melbourne Victory

The literal statement “People watch EPL at 3am but can't drive 10 minutes down the road to watch a local team” doesn’t specify the A-League though, does it - it’s perfectly applicable to all of domestic 🇦🇺⚽
its almost as if the standard of football in the EPL is considerably higher than your local club and people actually want to see a higher standard of play than what they feel they can do themselves

Not sure how many people here are familiar with “What we do in the Shadows”, but there’s a character on that show that doesn’t drink blood like a regular vampire, he’s an “energy” vampire. He thrives on draining other people’s energy and this gives him energy. I think we all know who I’m referring to………

keep your energy, use the ignore button

not sure why people bother, it reminds me of mr football a decade ago people kept taking the bait rather than talk to each other about the more interesting stuff

the irony of someone with the handle "Barca4life" decrying football fans in Australia not turning up to watch A-league

too funny 🤭
That handle has always given me a belly laugh. First thought it was a piss take and perhaps paying homage to "manyoo4lyfe" back in TWG days. However it seems he's a genuine temu plastic.

What amazes me (not really I expected it) is now all these new dawners are taking the result of a friendly kick-a-bout seriously. Like its world class football because some reserve kids scored a goal against some youth team kids from a promoted League One club on a preseason tour. Now you're castigating football fans because they don't pay to watch this level of football on a weekly basis. Seriously...

I watched the game and it was clear to see the Wrexham players were far superior technically and physically than the local team, who really looked like part timers. Obviously Wrexham don't have their patterns together at this stage of pre-season. Most of that first half was played in Sydney FC's half as they settled into a low block as they couldn't get the ball back.
