Tilio Watch:

Tilio came on as a sub when the 2nd unit was brought on en masse in the 67th minute for Celtic vs Sporting.

His movement and work-rate were extremely poor and didn't gain his first touch of the ball until the 83rd minute, a poorly weighted pass which broke down a Celtic attack.

His next involvement was a foul he committed in the 85th minute.

He didn't get his second touch of the ball (a poor first touch) until the 93rd minute just prior to the final whistle blowing.

Most of the time the A-league star stood stationary out wide on the right while the play was going on in the midfield and seemed out of step with proceedings. His fullback opponent consistently beat him to the ball with superior athleticism and positioning.
From Ryan McDonald in The Daily Record, in about the 83rd minute. Is this the same moment as your 83rd minute comment?

Making his Marc

Fringe man Marco Tilio almost produces a brilliant assist as he skips his way through the Sporting CP defence.

But his through ball to Johnny Kenny is just about cleared away.

Celtic fans haven't seen much of Tilio but the pint-sized attacker is a bundle of energy going forward.

He just lacks that quality end product.

"almost produces brilliant assist" LOL, which spin doctor wrote that bullshit?... there was nothing brilliant about a poorly weighted pass after the ball had fallen to him, he didn't beat any player... he had open space and once the defense arrived he had one job and fluffed it

it was his only touch between the time he came on in the 67th minute and when he received a throw in in the last minute of injury time.

do I have to screen grab the second half and upload it to my youtube account? the gaslighting is unbelievable from you people...

I hope I'm wrong, but my gut feel is that Irankunda doesn't have a strong enough mentality to succeed in European football, especially in a relatively higher level league like the Championship..

I am going to screenshot and keep this, in the hope I get egg on my face in the future.

I said on the old 442 site that he'll be back in the A League in a few years and got howled down.

6 months at Watford, another transfer and then back to Adelaide.

Hope I'm wrong also. (Especially as I bought my socceroos kit with his name on the back a couple of months ago.)

Full game for Tom Heward-Belle as his J-2 Montedio Yamagata defeated J-1 Gamba Osaka 4-4 (4-3) on penalties in the Emperor's Cup.

Full game for Kye Rowles in a 1-2 loss to Charlotte FC in the MLS.

89 minutes for Patrick Yazbek in a 3-0 win for Nashville over Columbus Crew in the MLS.

85 minutes and a yellow card for Aiden O'Neill for New York City FC in a 2-1 win over Orlando in the MLS.

17 minutes and an assist for Ariath Piol in a 1-0 win for Real Salt Lake over the Portland Timbers in the MLS.

Five minutes for Brad Smith in a 3-0 win for Cincinnati over Inter Miami in the MLS.

No Giuseppe Bovalina for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS.

Full game for Luke Ivanovic and Jacob Muir was subbed at half time for Monterrey Bay in a 1-2 loss to Tulsa FC who Giordano Colli played 15 minutes for in the USL.

No Pacifique Niyongabirie for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the USL.

No Nikola Udjur for Queen's Park in the Scottish League Cup.

Tilio verdict at 20 mins... this guy is an Aussie happy clapper for reference...

How does that prove anything?

There are Celtic fans who've made up their minds about Tilio and pretty much nothing he does can convince them otherwise. There were other fans on the boards this morning who said he did well.

Sadly, there is an anti-Australian sentiment in Scotland (and not just at Celtic) which is analogous to schoolyard bullying. They cop so much abuse of their league from English fans that they just want someone else to kick. That's why the A League is pish and all Australian players are shite.

What's the opposite of drinking koolaid?

That's what you've been drinking Lupi.

And given this is a site for Australian fans of football, why do you bother posting? Are you just here to wind up those who desperately want Australian football to do well. Why do you take so much pleasure in perceived failure?

Genuine question. I'm fascinated.

You must live in an alternate reality because nothing you are saying matches actual reality. You're trying to gaslight me into believing your garbage. Is this some kind of troll?

"anti-Australian sentiment in Scotland" what a load of horse shit

The second video is an Australian happy clapper and even he says he's not good enough.

If that's what you think then you've never spent even five minutes on Scottish forums.

And for what it's worth, I'm a Celtic fan and also have my doubts as to whether Tilio is good enough for Celtic (or the Oz NT) but I will always report both the good and the bad. You seem to delight in the bad and see nothing else for anything to do with Australian football.

What's your suggestion? That we just pull the plug and follow some other sport?

Can we stop engaging with Lupi? The guy is clearly a bit bored and sad and actually replying to him does nothing except encourage him.

Anyway with Scottish fans it's sometimes hard to tell how a player is going. One game they'll be the worst player on planet earth the next they'll be the second coming of Christ.

What matters is if the coach rates them. At least with Rodgers tilio has a shot as he likes technical speedy players.

I'm with you. So bloody tiresome. The bloke spends half his life slagging off Ange, and now that he's run out of things to say, he's turned his attention to Tilio. Can Admins please just show him the door already (@Pasquali) for incessant and unwelcome trolling/baiting. Until then, I urge everyone to just completely ignore his posts.
