I always think of the first rule of refereeing at moments like this. The whistle does not mean you are right, but it does make you right. I am immune to embarrassment for taking everyone at face value to start with. I have also worked with the occasional person in real life who is exactly like...

Damn - I have been sent to the naughty corner by Mono for participating in the 'memories' thread. I am shattered.

As opposed to the wide arse crack that we all know. It is the rant thread after all - pull your bloody pants up or tuck your bloody shirt in dammit.

    A Trip Down Memory Lane

In primary school we had what I took to be a school invented game of 2 groups either side of the shelter shed, shouting A-ban-dee-over and throwing a tennis ball over the shelter shed. If the other side caught it the first you knew was they all came running round the other side to try and tag as...

As far as I can see we have always taken new members on face value and welcomed them - except where they say they like Tasmanian Craft Beers and are trolling you from their first post. I don't care if our internet traffic and members are football tied or have other common interests - the more...

Decentric might have a chance to get to the South Derby :P and see more live football as well.

I think it is a fantastic matchup. An early chance to see how both teams are shaping up towards next season - when playing higher placed opposition from last season might not have told us that much. Both teams will think they are a chance despite the travel for the Nix.

Ethnic ties in the modern Aussie football landscape

LOL - I have a small number of posters Ignored so I had no idea anything had been posted or deleted. Life is much more enjoyable when your eyes don't bleed. And remember - if your nose runs and your feet smell you were built upside down.

    A Trip Down Memory Lane

When I left school my mates went on to Uni, TAFE and colleges. My parents said "get a job first then you can do extra studies if you want to". Full time Parcel Pickup at Woolies until I got into the Public Service at $110 a week. I wore a 3 piece brown suit working in parcel pickup :). Could...

Bloody hell Mono - you had to be front and centre back then too! I like your scarf though.

    A Trip Down Memory Lane

Walking or riding a bike everywhere. Going anywhere in the surrounding suburbs without worrying about being taken. 2 for a cent lollies and 10c lolly bags - Mates, Teeth, Caramel Buttons, Wizzfizz, Sherbert with Licorice straw, Choo Choo bars and Redskins. Being chased by a bee with my melting...

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! I made that mistake ages ago and got sorted. To limit the hurt people put on a brave face and 'owned' it - but it is still as offensive and hurtful as ever.

    MOVIE/TV QUIZ

Did you ever watch Kimba: The White Lion? One of his friends/advisors was Dan'l Baboon. I was partial to the Cisco Kid as well. Hey Cisco - do we really have to leave? Si Poncho - but only till next time.

    MOVIE/TV QUIZ

Spot on - the black and white Sleestak caving runs with crystals starting to blink as they started to wake up were terrifying for me. Quite tame when you look at modern shows.
