Aussies abroad 🌍🦘

Good to see. I'm a fan and reckon he has a role to play in the Socceroos.
Depending on the opponent, I think Devlin is right for harassing an opponent. For big teams but also Asian opponents, we need someone to get right in their face. Most goals we concede are front allowing the ball to be played in due to a lack of tight pressing.

Can't find any news on McGree injury.

From article above:

Boro’s medical staff will be assessing McGree today, with the Australian midfielder having been replaced by Micah Hamilton in the first half of last night’s game after suffering a dead leg.

“Riley got a dead leg,” said Carrick. “We’re not sure at this stage how that will look. He tried to carry on but couldn’t manage it. We’ll have to wait and see how he is for Saturday. There’s not much time between the two games.”

That sounds positive. Must have just had some blunt force to the leg

Yeah I felt and had hoped it was just a cork from the tackle that got him a yellow. Doesn't sound too bad.

Boro fans being delusional that McGree rests himself for Australia. It's all down to Carrick's decisions and Boro have plenty of good firepower. They've leveraged things well. To say that McGree shirks responsibility is ridiculous when they've performed much higher whenever he plays.

I can see why they would be frustrated. They are the best team in the comp when he starts and a midtable one when he doesn't (that's not an exaggeration that is his stats) so if he starts for a full season they get promoted

Just a corkie. That's good news.

Iredale is one of my favourite roos to watch given its more fun to follow strikers than defenders

Initially I was wary about Souttar's new gig but after a month he was a mainstay and now I don't get all worked up about minutes because he's just doing things so well.

Our strikers are exciting but until they get called up, we won't see or know what they can do. I think a striker power vacuum could prove valuable. Duke out and have Yengi, Iredale and Toure battle it out. Iredale can play wing too. We always need better link up play.

Imagine the defensive starch we will have against better teams if we can get circati, souttar, Irvine and metcalf in the same team. It won't please those that want to see pretty football, but on our day even top teams might find us a pain to play against
