Matildas match thread

Both games physical and entertaining.Brazil deserved to win both and they are excellent on the quick break.Cooney -Cross and Galic looked very good and Gielnik used her size to worry their very good defenders.Raso is such a worker and is not afraid to mix it.

Need to appoint a permanent coach very quickly.

Brazil for the new young team really looked more threatening overall.
Physical but damn can’t stand the time wasting especially their GK.
Yes we dug in came back good to see.
CC needs to keep injecting herself in the game like she had at times, good on the ball and going forward, I reckon WOTM from our side.

I.dont get why they lined up Taiwan as a opponent. They aren't near our level so thrashing them is pointless

I think that was done to give the opportunity to some of the young players who have had little or no opportunity to play international football.
There would be no point in putting them up against the likes of Brazil.
 
too true TSF, my eyes were watching left right centre when camera viewing the crowd.

Man got to say, the crowd ongoing screaming at Tilly games is like I'm visiting a day care or kindy, don't think i could sit in the stands for 90 +, on the couch will do me.

Yeah, I'm getting a little frustrated with the screaming every time one of them goes on a run forward. I get that a lot of the crowd are not watching the football intricacies, but it's frustrating that the excitement when the break happens is often met by the on field action being them just running straight into a defender.

Cooney-Cross did an amazing bit of skill in the second half to get away from 3 players and it got barely a murmur. It deserved so much more. Actually deserved a goal, but once the ball got played wide, they just ran straight and messed it up.

The crowds just need some re-education.
About time we bought back the classics:
- Come on Aussie, come on.
- Australia, la, la la.
- We are one

and last but not least:
- aussie, aussie, aussie, oi oi, oi!

We need some ideas to get these out to the Matildas watching public. Makes me wonder why they are not already on this forum.

yep made mention of CCross's run with the ball in my earlier post, was brilliant skill by her and deserved so much more out it - and from the crowd who most not have much clue.
Great they are there supporting if only knew when, even a clearance to no where, infact straight out of play got a cheer haha

You could be a good leader out there, why not go to the game and educate a section of the crowd, good point.

Don't even get me started on the WBBL. I think people turned off because it became a farce. It's why I did and I'm still super bitter
