A thread for general discussion about all things managers.

Couldn't resist could you.
Hahahahah no but seriously he spent quite a bit of time there last season (saw him at our away game for instance) and a couple of Thunder guys I know said he is very friendly with the club board... wouldn't be a bad first club/level to coach... in my opinion....

They are not the builders but finishers true dat.

Anyone has to be better than zadkovic

Was zadkovic good in previous gigs?

21 percent with Perth and 15 percent with brisbane

Doesn't fill me with confidence...

All time coaching record for A-League coaches.

Kisnorbo is 2nd out of 80
Zadkovich is 68th out of 80

NB: Dzrillic has only been in charge for 9 games so far. He will appear on the list after the next Perth Glory match. Currently he'd be 68th and Zadkovich would bump down to 69th.

NB2: Would people prefer to see the rating as PPG (Points per game; basically a value between 0.0000 and 3.0000) or simply win % (with draws counting as half a win)?

I like win % over tenure but whatever others prefer

Yeah - I always used PPG, but I've seen other places use win % and the more I think about it, the more I think I like Win % instead.

May change it in the future.

Is there any reason more clubs don't give npl managers with a good win percentage a try?

As long as there is a minimum number of games e.g. 10 games or 15.

A few NPL coaches have been given A-League opportunities - Rudan comes to mind and the Jets had a bloke whose name I can't remember.

Part of the reason why clubs are reluctant to give NPL coaches a try is that the players need to respect the coach, and a higher profile A-League player will pip a faceless NPL coach. But if they get a gig as an assistant coach (Rudan) then opportunities open.
