A-League Mens 24/25 - Round 12

That goal in the end will go down as one of the great classic a-league goals, incredible effort by young Jordan Lauton especially with the clock winding down with the score at 2-2 and for that to be the winner is simply incredible!

Feel for Perth they are getting closer, they didn’t play like they were going to lose that towards the end but when the luck is not going your way it’s not going your way.
By the way who is that young No.25? That through ball he set up for Taggart was pure quality.

Another offside flag, this time on Waddingham I think around 80+ minutes that showed on the replay that he was easily onside.

Two dodgy offside calls in a world where they are told not to flag it. Both were genuine threat moments.

We were our own worst enemy. Finally showed some drive and desperation in attack but unlucky not to get through the Mariners desperation. Punished twice by two attacks in the second half.

Bility's second yellow was a travesty. Edmonson (I think) jumped into his back and should have given away the free kick - but it went the other way and no way there was anything card worthy done by Bility. Incomprehensible decision by Kersey.

Was watching on Paramount. Both were close - but Hill and McBreen both commented on still frames and on both occasions the still was before the ball was released. Not saying they were definitely offside (which I thought they were but wouldn't put my house on it) because I didn't recheck but it annoyed me that they didn't at least say it was a lot closer than they originally said.

The bigger problem though is if they were that close why were they pulled up.

As for the Bility second yellow he was always going to get the second yellow. Yes - it should have been a foul by Edmondson but the reaction will always get a yellow. Edmondson himself got a yellow for the same. So retaliation was one reason. The other reason was City used the high arm sling against the Mariners with no cards until after the 60th min on NYE. Evans had a shocker and I'm sure that was noted. Apparently happened in a number of other games recently. I suspect there may have been a refs directive sent out. All good for the refs to keep the flow of the game going but slinging people to the ground from around the neck and shoulders is probably a step too far. It was soft though.

When you see RZ after the second yellow he's telling his assistants that Billity shouldn't have given away the first one.

Thought Waddington would score but for a great save by DPC. Hope you can keep him but it sounds unlikely.

Waddingham should've scored a few. Still can't believe that he doesn't start Brazete. Our defence continues to be substandard

This match sounds awesome through my 5.1. Why didn't I try this earlier haha

Brisbane played better football but fell apart in the last 15 minutes.
I've watched so many games in the past few weeks, can't remember what the result was in this game?

I think Roar are playing better than the position close to the bottom of the table indicates, but they have also had a fair bit of bad luck. It must be due to change.

Early in the season though they had the better of the away game against Auckland, and more recently they probably had the better of the game against Melbourne City, but lost both fixtures.

Roar is a very young ,and inexperienced team. Was surprised they parted ways with Joe Caletti?

BS pen and absolute dive from Adelaide player to get the pen, Draw at best. I wanna know how much does AUFC pay these refs and VAR off?
