I thought it was a pen tackle from behind was stupid. The free kick was soft though
 
I feel sorry for young Randazzo he had a shocker out there, I wonder if he’s not a natural right winger because he didn’t look comfortable out there.

The last thing he needs is abuse thrown at him on social media as well.

I actually felt this was going to end 0-0, it didn’t look like we were going to have a goal in the game but there you go, the aleague always delivers for goals!
 
Great goal from jovanovic, his scouting report was even more glowing than Waddingham. Will be interesting to see how predictive these scouting reports are
 
why have the wheels fallen off SFC with all these young guns ?
Looks like defense is main offender.
Checked the ladder, 10 games, 4 loss's, 2 draws, 19 GA.

Their press has become easy to play through and their tactics is to have a high press. It might be the loss of zdrillic teaching how to press or it could be they have a lot of technicians up front whose off the ball work is poor

Agreed. I hope for his sake that it was just nerves. He should reflect on JBos' first game which was an equal shocker and how he recovered from that.
Also good to see that Kitto took time to have a word with him after the game.
 
I am a rusted on AL fan and I honestly did not know there was a game on last night.

he actually had a hand in the macarthur's goal. he's a very talented player who was outstanding on debut earlier this season. he's a natural box to box midfielder not a winger - but he just had an off night.
 
insanely young starting xi but at least so far they are dominating

when you put a few of these youngsters together the ball movement is very crisp and the handling speed is very fast
 
Waddingham benched!
Might be a rotation thing. Botic also benched today. Kids aren't used to midweek games so makes sense
 
roar just so ponderous. They always build up slowly enough so that the other team has a chance to set a block of 8 and we don't have the players technical enough to break down a block. Players just refuse to try a through ball for waddingham whenever he makes his runs and just slowly advance the ball up the field
 
14 games & counting without a win for the Roar. I actually thought we deserved to win that game, as we were easily the better team in the second half & created quite a few chances. A pinpoint cross from Jelacic to Klein at the back post should've at least got us a point. Problem is we have too many substandard players - Struick wouldn't even start for an NPL team - can't believe he plays for the Indonesian NT - Brazete shreds him

Is this Struik another under the table deal at Brisbane by their Indonesian owners? Then there was Cahill's son. Then there was their lawyer's son, was it Cliff??

What is their motivation? It's certainly not success.
 
I'm actually feeling a bit fatigued from the a league will give tonight a miss and see what you blokes say about it afterwards

Could Melbourne City be the next big movers in the academy space? I feel Sydney FC still have the best academy but with the likes of Melbourne City they might threaten the crown I have been impressed in how they play control a game with their youth.

They also got the resources, facilities and connections to the Man City group training methods...
