A-League Mens 24/25 - Round 14 (Part 1)

With all the injuries Wellington have i cant see us making the top 6 this season, If we beat a informed SFC today i might be a little optimistic but i doubt it.

If WSW or Melbourne lose next week, it's goodnight Eirene. This means we have 5 teams with nothing to play for in January.
I don't think its that simple. positions 4 through 10 are a lot closer than they look due to 4th and 5th having one or two games more than the others. Yes the bottom group need a few wins, but they are not out of calculations. A win for WP today would be very handy.

Does anyone know what happened to Burgess from SFC? He hasn't played or been on the bench for awhile?

Yussssssssssss!! Nixs got a point with a bunch of reserves against SFC!. Bring on the top 6!

pearman really passing the eye test that half....
He's a fantastic young player. He was playing as a #10 & directing Perth's attack like a veteran. Can't believe they waited so long into the season to bring him into the team. At only 18 he's definitely one to keep a close eye on!! Same goes for Lebib - very promising young CB

That didn't eventuate so that gap widens.

Don't look at the table position, it's all out of whack because of the difference in games played. For example, Macarthur and WU are on 21 points but have played 13 games. MV have played 12 games, so If they win their 13th game, they will be in fourth (or fifth depending on SFC result). Same story at the top. Adelaide and Auckland have only played 11 games and will both go above MC if they win their 12th.
In the last few weeks it seems like we've had more AL rounds than weeks!

I'm trying to watch at least highlights from every game on Paramount, but can barely keep up.

Hope you don't mind that I've started a General AL League thread for season 2024/5, Someguy? You've done a great job with the weekly rounds.

There seems to be a few general observations with the season as a whole, as opposed to specific AL rounds, which I can barely keep up with ATM!

I've just watched a half of Perth v someone.

Remember Pearman's name.

They havn't won since PK left, 5 games, maybe thats more disruptive than we would think because they have quite a good squad tbh.
Yet I like Arthur Diles manner more than PK's tense demeanour on the sidelines.

I've noticed Diles isn't playing the young guys Nishan V and Bos, using Traore and Piscopo/Arzani instead.

Would love ur opinion on pearman. A real genuine 10, born 2006 but already catching the eye
Last night watched Perth v someone, a club I can't remember, as I'm watching so many AL games ATM I'm getting games mixed up. Towards the end of the first half the other team was 1-0 up.

I need to watch the second half and evaluate Pearman.
