I don't get this 'records galore' bullshit from Vinny... It was our first win there in a while, first 4 wins to start a season in a while... No records...she should be a weather reporter and talk about record temperatures or rain (since 2018)...
 
Penalties 10-6, Ruck infringements 3-1.

One dumb penalty from Marhoney... some of the penalties in the first half were dubious,

In the second half even the ref gave up on a Sharks win.

Yeah, if I were ODF I'd say the ref knew sharks were gone an had to make it not look ridiculous...
Nothing wrong with Red smashing a bloke laying on the ground... Any bloke that lays on the ground and makes not effort to get up should gett smashed...

Not to mention Lou copped attention off the all a few times and tay wasn't an issue...

I cant remember the 90s except for the Bulldogs.. but that's a story for another time...
 
Hughes, Kiraz, Burton and Kiks definitely in our top 17. So 4 of our better players out and we took total control of the game in the second half.

Sharks played very well most of the game.

My favourite part was when we were camped down their end executing good end of set kicks and getting set after set. Finally we wore them down and Xerri crashed over.

Then the Sharks fans probably started leaving the stadium, very few teams come back from there.

The great thing now is the younger guys are coming in and stepping up to the challenge
Hayward definitely a long term signing .
 
Huge effort. I can’t believe we can play this well this soon. We are genuine contenders now.

Line speed in defence is the best in the league by a long way. Our wrestle and contact in the ruck is the best in the comp. Our fitness is obviously the best in the comp. We finally look like the Bulldogs teams I grew up supporting.
 
Almost the perfect start to the season.. 4 wins on the trot… Parra Owen Four… Rorters spoiled it with their fluke win… but I’ll take it…
