Just for fun I pulled a few of the comments about Boyle's recent selections for the Socceroos
;).

As you can see from the first quote, at the time he had 2 goals from the first 10 games. This was an awful run of form for Hibs at the start of the season, but 2 goals in 10 games is not horrific for a winger by any means. Everyone's current favourite Nestory has 1 goal in 17 matches, he did do well to play in more games than Boyle scored.

My particular favourite

Even a few posters still going in March

Imagine the collective wet dream if Irankunda or Kuol had 15 goals in a season instead of an already 30 capped socceroo.

Some of my favourite GGFC posters amongst the quotes (god knows I have made similar type comments in the past). Enjoy it now so we can all forget and make similar comments about the next squad.
All of those comments (especially your favourite) were perfectly reasonable at the time. He was bang out of form for Hibs and his last few games for Oz were underwhelming to say the most. The Hibs fans were calling for his blood at the time and now he's the king of Easter Road.

We're all happy to see him back in form and when he's picked in June he will absolutely deserve his spot.

I think we need to remember a lot of the Boyle comments were after the first window loss to Bahrain. This was when Irankunda was easing in and we were very underwhelmed with Boyle's play.

Quietly putting together a strong season is Iredale. Is equal 5th on the goal scoring table, equal 3rd if you exclude penalties. Shame about the level.

It's a poor level but you wonder about having someone confident hitting the target and fit will need just a half chance to score for the national team.

I think Iredale isn't of the Maclaren ilk. If we can just get past Duke and maybe Yengi keeps getting injured, the door opens for the AA and A League suitors who stake a good claim.

I wonder if any a league clubs enquried in him. A league is better then Korea second division right 😬

I believe that ADO Den Haag lost in the play offs and are now eliminated from the promotion race. Looking at the commentary on FotMob, it says the match was abandoned before 90 min due to crowd issues (ADO home crowd) - it was 1-0 (3-0 aggregate) at the time.

Yes, but I do think their number of games keeps the player that extra bit sharp. There's certainly decent football in the league itself. A weird move given he just got engaged and his partner plays in Denmark too.

circati starts according to twitter but not parma's twitter yet....anxious...

Toure returns from injure with 20 minutes

Circati starts

Both huge for the roos and gives us a real chance

Tell you what, a full strength roos squad is probably favourites against japan at home

even a top team would struggle to score against the defensive starch of ryan, souttar, burgess, circati, irvine, oniell, metcalfe and bos if we are playing at home

we will probably have a metcalfe and circati at 90% with bos, souttar and irvine missing though....so it will be a really really tough match

Josh Nisbet played the full match in addition to stoppage time for Ross County in their 1-1 draw against Motherwell. Ross County now have a promotion/relegation playoff over two legs against Livingston.

Bailey Wright played the full match in addition to stoppage time, and got a yellow card for Lion City Sailors in their 2-1 AFC Champions League Two grand final loss to Sharjah FC.

Massimo Luongo came on in the 89th minute of Ipswich Town's 2-0 loss to Leicester City in their penultimate game of the Premier League season. No game time for Cam Burgess, who was left out of the matchday squad altogether.

Circati doesn't look off the pace at all. Does the most knee jerking spin move so the body must be at near full strength. I think Popovic wanted him to stabilise at Parma rather than have a camp. I'd be surprised if he were omitted from the final squad.
