I don't know how anyone can't say - good on you mate !
Moan moan moan - nothing is easy absolutely nothing and people keep bitching he's not good enough.
Done it with quite a few kids/injured players/prick of an owner.
Amorin should be copping way more than Ange but the press went after the aussie greek because we are not rated especially coach wise.
Now they know - future and current aussie players will have to think thanks Ange Australia is on the map for a big football moment.

Thats EXACTLY right mate... Aussies are no longer nobodies in England... if nothing else, any future players/managers may well be looked at in more favourable light thanks to big Ange... The Spud faithful will be singing his praises for another 3 decades as the last manager to win them ANY silverware... don't listen to the haters.

I've read a lot of comments on this including from Tottenham fans. I think a lot of them just don't get it.

It's really clear that when injuries hit a decision was made to sacrifice the league season to chase the European trophy and Champions League qualification. They couldn't do both with injuries robbing their squad depth.

Ange made the right decision and executed it perfectly. They won their first trophy in 17yrs and first European silverware in 41yrs. They qualified for Champions League and a $100 million pay day.

I don't think they appreciate how lucky they are. They want everything but if they'd tried for that after their injuries they'd have gotten nothing.

yer I've read heaps as well Quicky - the fans well we always have a % who are never happy and like causing amuck like some in here :)

Funnily even Amorin has said he sacrificed the league for they had no hope as well and all rode on the Europa but he said it would have comoflauged the countless issues, they compared to Spurs are in way more long term strife.

Happy days for Ange and his followers/believers as he said.

I still love the fact (may need to verify this though) that other than Diego Simeone, he is the only non-European manager to win a UEFA club competition.

EDIT: Ok, is kind of wrong that stat.

Ange is the 4th (if we're only counting Champions League/European Cup, Europa League/UEFA Cup, and Conference League.

Diego Simeone is one, the other two are also from Argentina: Helenio Herrera and Luis Carniglia.
If we count defunct competitions (such as Cup Winners Cup and Intertoto Cup), there is a 5th, from Chile: Manuel Pellegrini. He has the chance to properly add his name to the list next week.
