Still early on, we havent made any noise towards a new striker signing (at least that Ive heard) ... Agree when need a plan B but I believe Esteban has shown a lot more adaptability last season so willing to back him all the way for this one.

Barcia is apparently gone..Brennan staying. No idea about pope and peopis wa rumoured Preston. I'd hope we find a better 2nd choice keeper aswell as legune was terrible

Not surprised about Barcia but really happy Andy is sticking around for one more season (hopefully 2 or 3)... Love the guy, a true gentleman, plays for the shirt and the fans.... one of my favourite players and a great bloke to chat too..... for a Tasmanian :)

As for Willie, I think you are both a little harsh. he is young, tall and quite good in the air... Needs a little confidence is all as the couple of times we needed him last season he had a couple of howler performances ---remember against Manningham? It can't be easy being second string behind the best keeper in the country.....
 
i don't know where you've seen that he's good in the air. can barely even get to the ball let alone catch or punch it. Hes way too quiet aswell. you have one of the best npl centre back combos since the npl came in in marko and marshall and he should be more confident with them in front of him

Quiet I agree with ... but I have seen him punch out a ball in the 6 yard box.... Im not imagining it? Yes he is shaky, yes he lacks confidence... but who else could we get to sit on the pine round after round, knowing he is only getting rotated if Javi is injured again???

Thanks you so much Neal, Im not much of a podcast guy but really enjoyed the listen, didnt realize George Mells was your co-host... absolute;y lovely work and fascinating to get all three of your takes on AIS, clubland and player development..

BTW this make me like Mr Mells even more, you can tell him that this old bloke understands completely where he is coming from and is so happy that he gets to play for Hellas...... Always ranked him as a player at Port and Avondale ... mighty pleased he is HOME....
 
Lopez, Painter-andrews, Evans, Marshall, inglese, jankovic, lampard, spitiri, Archibald, mells, Halfpenny, leech, mikolla, Harding, brennan, bonada

Brings the squad to 16 that I know of. Pope still unknown but with this guy signing it wouldn't surprise me if he's gone.

Defence and middle are covered need some quality attackers now as currently only have mikolla brennan bonada and Harding.

Yeah seems to be a like for like .... I think we have a solid core but need that #9 man, were gonna get creamed next year....
 
Looking at the highlights package on Leech, reminded me that I always thought he plays like Langois..... Prefer Pope if he is still with the club .....
