Sign Up Now!I don't really see this as being 'the flag' even though it is consistent with it. More like a heritage tri-colour to me.Interesting... for some reason I already had the version with the Italian flag as my logo in my little logo database that I never finished..

yes very much agree todays so called brilliant marketing is no where as good as this ol logo/badge.I don't really see this as being 'the flag' even though it is consistent with it. More like a heritage tri-colour to me.
I think it's a terrific logo to be honest. A lot going on there. Green/white/red: where it began. Black and white stripes: another heritage link. The tradtional ball stitch design - our place in the game's history. The kangaroo - we're Aussie afterall. Zebra... more origin story. Those two distinct animals of different history embracing each other over a football. That very football representing that the coming together is a moment from long ago in history. Then on top of that, stars for championships and year which is what new clubs MAX OUT at in terms of symbolism in their crest.
I don't think modern marketing, focus groups etc really have a handle on how to make something like this anymore.
The Lowy benelovent order decreed that it was inappropriate for clubs to have national smbols in club crests because it distracted everyone from seeing the Star of David in the Hakoah logoWhy did they take the Italian flag away from the emblem in the first place?
Huh?What about Craig Foster's woke flag?
NCIP was the icing on the "new football" cake but in fairness to Lowy David Hill and the gimps at Soccer Australia were the pioneers of blatant downright un-constitutional racism in the 90s. What happened to migrant founded soccer clubs in this country wouldn't fly in any other western country in the world.... Australia is inherently a conservative racist society we just dont like to openly talk about it because it's not polite. The Lowy benelovent order decreed that it was inappropriate for clubs to have national smbols in club crests because it distracted everyone from seeing the Star of David in the Hakoah logo
Great badge I agree... Iconic and well done to them for bringing it back - FORZA JUVE....I don't really see this as being 'the flag' even though it is consistent with it. More like a heritage tri-colour to me.

Time to bring back the Lakers...?Great badge I agree... Iconic and well done to them for bringing it back - FORZA JUVE....
I don't know how I feel about South doing something similar though, as much as I don't really like our current crest, we have been using it for 30 years now. A refresh is long overdue and a "nod to the past" would be fantastic... I ve been told it's "on the cards" lets see what they come up with?
I just noticed.. I like the touch of the chequered flaghahahah I believe we actually got a cease and desist letter from the LA Lakers at the time... Spoilsports HAHAHAHAHAH

Sounds like a remnant of the pathetic NCIP. One of the most racist things I've ever seen yet openly supported by the lapdog football media. Why did they take the Italian flag away from the emblem in the first place?
Thats right, most of those clubs had to re-badge in the late 90s and 00s. Going as far back as David Hill era.Sounds like a remnant of the pathetic NCIP. One of the most racist things I've ever seen yet openly supported by the lapdog football media.
