Again, Haine Eames had only played U20s for CCM. Sometimes when the talent is there, it can be fast tracked and work well.

Apparently the next big striker talent coming out of South Australia. He’s regularly called up to the Joeys even whilst being from a younger cohort, and Twitter scouts have been raving about him for a while.

They should promote Chris Irakoze and give him some exposure. Turns 16 in a few weeks, same age as Haine Eames who is starting and playing full matches for CCM.

With Maty back playing football in a Top 5 league, and Gauci playing 3rd division football, surely Maty goes back to being Socceroos #1 for these upcoming games in March and June.

Joe Gauci loaned to League One club Barnsley. Yikes. He’ll be playing at the same level as our other 3 League One GKs: Chapman, Maynard-Brewer and Bilokapic.

He and Alex Bonetig could be great LCB options for Australia moving forward if they can both be sensible with their club moves.
