    General 2024/5 A League Men's thread

I'm not sure that has changed at all. Football Australia still owns the IP for the A-League and all of the A-League clubs. Might have something to do with the debts the APL has with FA. All clubs use the same Wordpress theme for their sites, which was one that was created for the whole Keepup...

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Semi Final

That $260 must be for some premium package in Cat A or B seats. For the MV v ACK game a family ticket (2 adult / 2 kids) in Cat C is $95.

You're assuming 50% cheaper tickets equates to double the attendance. Technically it's possible, but unlikely IMO.

    ALM TV Ratings

It's an interesting point. I remember Coca-Cola once said that they could cease all advertising/sponsorships for an entire year and it wouldn't effect sales at all.

Exactly. Plenty of people are familiar with the A-League (and NPL). Plenty of people either don't care or have lost interest. No amount of marketing is going to change that.

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Semi Final

I think this is to get members to buy tickets, because there is still a tonne of seats available. Based on the ticketek map they have pretty much sold nothing. The majority of the cheapest Cat C seats are still available. Only the first 5-6 rows sold in each Cat C bay. Interestingly, alot of Cat...

    The Melbourne Victory Thread

Absolutely. Auckland are solid, but they definitely dropped a bit of form at the tail end of the season. Picked up a lot of draws. The week off is also a bit of a double edged sword. MV won within 90mins so will recover well and will be full of confidence. That being said, unlike the MC/WU semi...

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Semi Final

It's pretty typical for a semi-final at AAMI park. However that would be when the whole stadium is open and not just half of the ground level. They would want to be giving out some freebies for this one if they want people in those seats.

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Semi Final

They really should have zoned all areas Cat C (except for actives) for this game. Bays S2 & S10 are $60 Bays S3-S9 are all $75. Way too much for this game.

Cheapest tickets are $39 (kids) / $59 (adults). Very interesting to see how much interest there is in this. MV game will be at Marvel, so they must be expecting a decent level of interest. Personally, I might watch on TV, but definitely wouldn't pay to go.

    ALM TV Ratings

Not as simple as that. They can only operate within the budget, which would be pretty low. Producing more shows is expensive and completely out of budget. They already advertise on 10, problem is nobody watches 10, therefore no one notices. Cross promotion is not as simple as it sounds. It still...

Well what else do you want them to do? Their job is to broadcast the games.

Saturday game is on 10 Bold / 10 Play. Not sure about 2nd Leg, but based on the kick-off times, I'd assume the MC v WU game will be on FTA next week.

    A-league attendances 24/25

I think many people forget just how big QLD is. Flight from Gold Coast to Melbourne is shorter than flight from Gold Coast to Cairns.

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Quarter Final

It's not possible for a MC v WU grand final. Semi-final is possible though. Interesting to see if they would play both legs at AAMI.
