Am still stunned that someone in the club thought having that Danish striker that probably played the equivalent of State League 3 in Denmark would be a good option forward.

If we can get to about 21-22 points by then, any new signings should help us get a few more points to stay up.

The first available match any new signings we make would be the Round 20 match against Hume City. That leaves just 7 matches and maybe a cup semifinal if not cup tied.

Does Preston have any injuries ?

Definitely not a bottom 3 team. Midseason transfers will dictate how soon we can reach 26-27 points to avoid relegation.

Totally agree We just lack that bit of quality at times to punish teams. We need 2 midfielders (a defensive mid and attacking mid), at least 1 striker, and 1 winger. Very hard to find those players at this late stage in the season.

The players would have 4 full days to recover from tonight’s match when playing Preston on Sunday. Ordinarily that wouldn’t bother me, but I question our fitness levels. That could be a factor tonight and for Sunday.

We have 3 straight home fixtures against Preston, Dandenong Thunder and Hume City. We need to lock in at least 5 points from those fixtures. That would get us up to 21 points. And we still need other results to go our way to help us.

That result may come back to bite us. We were moments away from a 6 point advantage from the relegation zone. Now we are only 4 points ahead of 12th spot. Really poor defending at the end. What was Evans doing ?? I’m not saying to throw everyone up the line, but don’t stop pushing forward...
