    General 2024/5 A League Men's thread

I still can't believe that there was no accountability for that. They should have lost their licence.

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Quarter Final

Can anyone explain what the dustup between the two coaches was all about? It looked to be instigated by Stajic.

    A-league attendances 24/25

Yes, I have heard that. Interesting that Belgium is a small country with a relatively small comp. Perhaps, like here it is a way to extend the season and extend the revenue harvesting. I should add that I think P/R is an important part of the picture too. The Premier League I played in had...

    Expansion Thread

Agree. Both WU and the Bulls have done significant harm to the A League via the TV images of tiny crowds in empty stadiums. Can't happen again.

    A-league attendances 24/25

There is no doubt in my mind that perception of the value of the Premiership versus the Championship has changed over the years to align with global football culture. Everyone I know sees the Premiership as the prize and the Championship simply as an end of season knockout cup, there to make...

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Quarter Final

I would not be surprised if Arzani does a Mooy and heads back to Europe in his mid 20s, which is now, so next season. I can see him doing well in Holland or Belgium, even France.

    A-league attendances 24/25

What I can't understand is that the ground looked near full, so I'm with you on that question. Given the number of empty seats, I assumed around 4.5 k on a 5 k capacity.

    Wyndham City Stadium Thread

10k would be aspirational, being Frank again. 20 k would simply be delusional. BTW, the reporting is that this is far from a done deal.

Must say I'm surprised by that 3k. It looked like more on tv. But yeah, as a bottom line its right at the bottom.

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Quarter Final

Particularly in the first half, their football was seriously impressive. So many A League teams pass the ball in slow motion. Last night, WU were absolutely pinging it around. Best execution of a hard press I think I've seen in an A League game.

I would love Spurs to win, but I think Man U has too much quality across the park.

Over 5 million people between Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, a 3 hour drive between the two. Well over 100,000 just south of the border and easily accessible to Robina Stadium.

As for Robinson, I don't understand why he seems to be holding out. Plays for a relegated to third tier club. It's not as if any other nation will come calling for him. For perspective, he's the same age as Jeremy Doku. I don't mean to discredit the young guy - I'm sure he will have a solid...
