    ALM TV Ratings

The A Leagues appeal to younger audiences. They rarely watch on normal TV. Unless we know Paramount figures (which will also advertise Channel 10 shows) we don't know anything. I have no doubt that the streams are doing exponentially better than the terrestrial TV figures show. The main...

    A-league attendances 24/25

I've taken a random year 2013-2014 and compared crowns to this season. What is really noticeable is the huge drop off in BNE crowds (end of Ange era and too large a stadium?) and MVC (FA crackdown?). SFC and ADL have held up pretty well. MCI are down a bit (probably affected by smaller derby...

    A-league attendances 24/25

Maybe Melbourne and Sydney are sick of getting the prime spot. Maybe it should be shared around a bit more. The champions of the last two years get one 7:30 Sat game. Conversely CCM (based in a commuter region) gets 4 Friday night 7:30 games.

    A-league attendances 24/25

Two of the big 3 teams playing in the prime spot - I'd say very disappointing.

    A-league attendances 24/25

No - I didn't take it personally and have been a member and showing up since 2004 (first match a 6-0 trial against Blacktown City). I'm more of the opinion that the crowds are on an upswing (CCM in spite of losing a team that would probably beat Poppa's Socceroos). Macarthur with their current...

    A-league attendances 24/25

When you consider that CCM have lost Danny Vukovic, Jacob Farrell, James McGarry, Dan Hall, Nector Triantis, Max Balard, Josh Nisbet, Samuel Silvera, Béni Nkololo, Angel Torres, Jason Cummings, Moresche, Marco Túlio, Dylan Wenzel-Hall & Jing Reec plus some other promising youngsters since June...

    A-League Mens 24/25 - Round 12

Was watching on Paramount. Both were close - but Hill and McBreen both commented on still frames and on both occasions the still was before the ball was released. Not saying they were definitely offside (which I thought they were but wouldn't put my house on it) because I didn't recheck but it...

    Mariners new ownership soon?

I suspect that is part of the deal, not necessarily 'property developers' though, Maybe others involved as well - but fairly re-assuring words from Charlesworth in the podcast.

A lot of clubs especially in NSW lose money on match days. If there is a large crowd the cost for police makes it hard to make a profit on ticket sales unless it is a sellout which makes larger crowds a bit of a problem. The flip side is that larger crowds make for a better spectacle and TV...

We will never make enough from crowds and TV - that's not how it works except at the elite level. It is all about other income streams. A lot of the NPL teams have sufficient to sustain them. The A League clubs don't.

Word is it is a local CC Consortium. Hope it is true but we've been here before.

    A-League Men 24/25 - Round 10

Seem to remember Kaltak getting sent for two of these a couple of seasons ago. Both over the ball and one barely touching the other player.

    Big Ange thread

That's it - Ange can play a great style of football, which he proved at the World cup. Still got him 0 points against teams that played a great style with better players. If Spurs want to win with style Ange is only half the answer - he needs a better and deeper squad.

Since they haven't been charged I'm not going to. I could mention the others because they are a matter of public record.

    Mariners new ownership soon?

Not a fan - but let's get some facts out there. He was a local MP up here - though not in my electorate - so I did have some interest in his purported activities. Thomson, while initially convicted on HSU expense breaches - has subsequently had the convictions overturned on appeal. This was on...
