Broncos i think that we need to go with them early, they play physical and energetic at the start.

They don't have a specialist prop on the bench, but they may give a young guy in the extended squad a run.

First 20 mins, just complete sets, kick well run Cobbo around, defend well and execute.

Keep the score close enough for long enough the Broncos will make errors, get tired and have some lapses in defence.

When their starting props go off they may struggle to make yards. Shutting down Staggs is a priority, the longer we keep him off the score sheet the more likely he is to make an error.

Make the game a high speed grind and give them nothing.

I agree with the idea of Galvin replacing Hayward at lock after 30 mins and playing the rest of the game. Also Hayward eventually replacing Marhoney at hooker.

Preston running on to passes from Galvin is a likely weapon for us.

IMO Galvin is already the most creative and dangerous passer of the ball in our side. Burton is very dangerous as a running 6, Burton, Kiks and Xerri are the other major threat.

If we score a lot of points Preston and Tracey will do a lot of damage on the right, Burton and Xerri will do a lot of damage on the left. Galvin will throw a lot of the passes that create opportunities.

Keep the Broncos scoreless for the first 20, we can keep them to 12 or less and probably post 30 or more. Let them get out to an early 12-0 lead it will be hard to wrestle momentum back.

You don't know which Broncos team will show up . Reynolds is a danger always brings his A game against us . Even when he was playing for South's .. Even Macguire has a good record against us . I thought Cirro would had pushed Burto out to the centres and put Galvin as starting 5/8. Sexton has a good kicking game . Need to win this game to keep in the top 2 . .

Burton in the centres , makes sense no point to keep Galvo on the bench this game ..Defence will play a key role tonight .

Defence can win it from here.

Score first in the second half and Broncos might fade.

Broncos are playing better than I expected.

We are playing well, but forcing the play sometimes.

Burto try was a classic.

Just trying too hard to score, Galvin threw the pass too hard and Kiks dropped it. That gave them a sniff.

Same as last week, at times we are trying too hard to score, need to complete sets. Critter on the right would have made a difference. Mann threw some great passes.

The swap of Burton to centre didn't work, Xerri didn't defend well on the right.

Dropped balls also cost us.

FIrst half was good. The lesson is don't let momentum shift.

I don’t think team selection cost us, mostly it was errors and Broncos standing deeper in attack and running harder.

We were too flat with too many passes to a player under pressure, especially on the edges.

Galvin is a tricky problem because he throws some great passes and some bad passes.

He did that several times .. I'm hoping this is the slump we probably need. best to have it now and then at the end of year start the fire up again.

That 2nd half was not the Bulldogs we have been used to seeing. From the moment they decided to take the two from a penalty, it was all down hill from there. I think they gave up and thought they could defend their way to a victory. Poor captaincy and poor control from the halves and msybe even throw in poor team selection from the coach. Ciraldo needs to either swap Sexton for Galvin or send Galvin to Reggies to better understand the system. Some have already said that the inclusion of Galvin this quickly will derail our season and wow the wheels are seeming to be falling off. If Ciraldo doesn't stop the rot we will not finish in the top 4.

Broncos were a lot better than I expected especially in the second half.

Taking the 2 points was the right call.

Broncos defended well the game turned on a dropped ball from us trying too hard to score.

Right side defence can be weak at times when Critter isn't at centre.

Galvin is the right long term answer, but he is young and makes poor decisions.

If we tought Sexton was the answer at half we would have signed him a lot earlier.

Galvin needs to run the ball more if he stays in the side.

Not sure why Hughes and/or Turpin didn't come back on. Best game Turpin has played for us.

Playing top teams that attack and defend well is exactly what we need to learn to handle.

Earlier in the season the Broncos would have started dropping more ball, got tired and started missing tackles.

This 2 weeks has taught us what the required level is.

I would drop Galvin for a week or 2 and get him to work on running more and more selective passing. Team him up with Woods as that is the future combination.

Then perhaps bring Galvin back and drop Sexton, depending on form/performance.

I said it before, signing Galvin mid year will be the downfall of our season.

Well I can't argue with you, our win/ loss ratio has been abysmal since he's arrived. Also I don't know who Sexton is trying to impress but it's definitly not me that's for sure.

I only saw snippets of the game as i was out at a party, so I'll provide my thoughts after i watch a full replay, but my goodness, what a dreadful result.

For a team that prides itself on defence, how do you lose from 18-0 up in the second half?

We need to win both. It sets us up for a genuine shot at the title and proves that we are contenders.
I was hoping for 1 win out of the 2, and while we were in them up to our eyeballs in both, the way we cant close out games tells me this team still has not learnt the lessons of last year's Manly final.

In reality Ciraldo needs to make a firm decision. Sexton has already given him the perfect opportunity by signing with Caitlans. Drop Sexton to Reggies as he is no longer in our plans going forward and pair Galvin with Burton for the remainder of the season.

Another experiment for next year: pair Woods with Galvin in the halves, move Burton to Lock and Hayward to Hooker. I eond how that might work out.

its disrupted the team, players are disgruntled.

never change a winning formula.

thanks Gus 🤦‍♂️

We definitely didn't want to blow a top two as now it looks likely we' are not going to get a Home final the way we' are going. .

If they had just kept the ball last week and not tried to play fancy or cocky the game was there to be won easy but I'm not sure what happened was it Galvin or was it the rest of the crew ? but hopefully now when Critter and the rest of the gang comes back. The team will settle we just don't want to lose too many more games ,just stay in the top four.
