On Peraic Cullen (reckon he is good enough to end up a starting keeper in a big 5 league when he peaks)

Matthews (reckons he could play for a mid table 2nd tier league when he peaks)

Brandtman (reckons he could play for a 2nd tier league when he peaks)

It rates jovanovic highly
!

The only other aussie player they have scouted who they think is big 5 is robbo

They think youlley and tillio are good enough for the 2nd tier

Going further back here is triantis who they thought was 2 years off 2nd tier level and a few years from big 5 level

Bos's report

Dylan Leonard
Not as bullish as I am on him and they flag his height as an issue. He might move to the midfield later in his career

scicluna gets a look

they reckon his defensive game could be big 5 level but his on the ball ability needs to improve a lot and could limit him to the next level down. Still he could make a bottom big 5 team

seems to have a similar profile to metcalf and irvine then

absolutely glowing scouting report of mehmeti

They mentioned that he is small for a DM (1.76cm), however Kante is much shorter than that
They seem much more likely to complain our players lack physical attributes rather than technical, Waddingham is an exception

Aussiescout has also said that we struggle to convince athletically talented players so we miss out on those elite players that are technically and physically advanced. If you are technical enough tho it can make up for a physical deficit

I would like to think the technical component is more important than physical for us, if anything we always been fine with the latter is just that we judge that more the technical side which is wrong and maybe why we haven’t been on par with the technical side especially in Asia.

I remember Han Berger’s comments when he created the curriculum about trying to get Australia close to the technical level of most Asian nations as he felt we relied a lot on the physical side of things to make up for these deficiencies.

And we know it’s harder to improve technically without the years of practice, maybe it’s down to our lack of football culture which is ingrained from most football counties at a young age?
