Summer of Cricket thread

Given how this Dukes pinkie is in favor of the quicks, have been more sensible to play the extra bat, Josh Inglis.

1-50 at tea from 25 overs tells the story of our struggle. I say if this Dukes ball is used bowl if we win toss in future. May try to get some more 😴

His 38 yr old mate with his almost 20 years of extra experience is also struggling on this deck . Since his debut the teenager has not had one relatively easy track to start his innings. He will come good but first a yr back in shield may be needed. Has been thrown to the lions by CA, picked on promise after only a handful of first class games.
We are going to have to regenerate eventually always some challenges when we do...

TBH honest Richie the only I really know of is Konstas more than any other.
So if you wish put some other down so as I can review them.
Shield - heck the monster it once was is it actually being televised ? or streamed - I haven't heard about it for ages.
Crop of other young guns, Raf MacMillan, Aidan O'Connor, Louis Smith (TAS), Mahli Beardman, Simon Budge, Jordan Quiggan (WA) Tanveer Sangha, Charlie Anderson, Riley Kingsell, Lachlan Shaw (BLUES). Will give you more if interested.

CA stuffed the once hi reputation shield comp when it started to play two separate 5 rounds to fit in BBL for the school hols. Only the final is now televised.

Beau Webster second failure on the trot after a healthy start to his Test career..

This Dukes still seams and moves well after most other ball types are as flat as a tack.

Great to see the Baggies were in the ascendancy when I woke, so well on the way for a clean sweep of the Frank Worrell Trophy.

Bad time to roll em, dusk, almost when the artificial lite takes over and the Duke begins to talk. We may pay the price and see our comfortable lead whittled fast.

Louis Smith (TAS),
LFC this 19yr old is repping the Aussies in an international A series in Darwin that CA is live streaming if you wanna see him in action. Been following him since he was 15, said back then he will go a long way in the game. He is the only one of the under 20 list I posted playing in these unofficial Tests.

Well I got that spot on unfortunately with the Baggies collapsing to 6/99 under the pressure of good bowling and a talking Duke ball.

I've just had a good look at the 45 min replay for Day 2 on YT.

Pitch is still doing a bit, but Aussies are on top.

Green has come good in tough batting conditions. The crowd really picked up in numbers in the night session. It was a good atmosphere.

I think the Aus media have been overly savage on the top 4, now mainly Konstas and Usman.

Konstas is only young. There is probably heaps of likely improvement. However, Renshaw peaked at age 21.
