Summer of Cricket thread

LFC this 19yr old is repping the Aussies in an international A series in Darwin that CA is live streaming if you wanna see him in action. Been following him since he was 15, said back then he will go a long way in the game. He is the only one of the under 20 list I posted playing in these unofficial Tests.
Haven't seen Louis Smith yet, Baggers.

I think the Aus media have been overly savage on the top 4, now mainly Konstas and Usman.

Konstas is only young. There is probably heaps of likely improvement. However, Renshaw peaked at age 21.
Agree, Konstas still has a long way to go and will no doubt improve further but going out for a five-ball duck in the second innings doesn't help.

The swing and seem on that delivery might have been starcs most unplayable in a career of unplayable deliveries

and now he has 5-2!

This is the craziest spell ever (pending review)

the only 2 runs was a nick on the half volley to carey

I think Steyn, ambrose and Johnson are the most destructive spells I've seen in my life

this might be more destructive, forget the opposition, he is getting these wickets against a team of bradmans. Wicked movement and pace

You can on CA website mate, bowls and bats. Tim Paine rates him, as it was he who gave Louis his crack in this game. HE is yet to play for the Tigers, but is on their emerging list.

lol WOW, is that a test record?
Not sure it is. They will give Starc the MVP as it is in his 100th Test , but for mine it should be the guy who scored our most runs, Cameron Green, as this, like all pitches has been decidedly bowler friendly, even more so using the Duke pink ball.

Agree. A stint back in first class cricket can only help the lad. I still maintain CA to blame as they threw Konstas to the lions, picking him on promise after playing only a handful of shield games. Is this that has been messing with his head space.

Up in Darwin Nathan McSweeney making a case for a Test recall top scoring for the Aussie A boys.

Josh Philippe should be considered for our next Asian tour, given how composed he is to spin. Uses the feet expertly and loves putting pressure back on by nonchantly lofting guys to and over the ropes. I enjoy watching him bat.

Would you believe he scored a 100 and took five wickets in a grade game at 16 then at 17 scored a grade double hundred. Then he had a series of stress injuries and missed a year. I wondered at the time where he had gone.
