Couldn't see this already posted:

"Adelaide United have confirmed head coach Carl Veart will leave the club at the end of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The Reds have “exercised a contractual option not to extend Veart’s tenure beyond the current campaign” as the 54-year-old prepares to depart as the longest-serving head coach in the club’s history."

Massive change for Adelaide, and he has stated that he is not opposed to a job at a rival aleague club.

I personally do not like the way he complains on the sideline (he isn't the only one of course) and the way his teams have always had players dropping on contact but that aside he has done a great job making Adelaide into a business with young player discovery part of it.

He would perhaps be a good fit for a tight-arsed Brisbane Roar that often looks to cheaper young players coming through and it would delight our owners if he made them money putting quality youth in the shop window.

Newcastle also use young players and are probably a better fit for him though.

Stanton -> Roar
Veart -> Jets

????

I hate this gets announced before the season is over. Why would Adelaide fans go to games now? The coach is leaving the season is done and if they won the grand final the club looks stupid

Do you seriously believe that Adelaide fans only go to games because of who the manager is? This is football, people come, and people go.

You see, that is why i always question you, normal fans will always go, no matter who the manager is, or will be. This was only a contractual decision.
For me it shows the owners don't care about the competition. Adelaide are still in finals contention so what's the point in announcing this now and disrupting the team?

They have a six month off season to do this

It has been common knowledge for weeks that his contract will not be renewed.

Do you get upset at work if you find out your manager won't be staying on? I sure as fuck don't.

Bear I think it's bush league I don't see other leagues announce the coach is leaving before the end of season that's my stance and I'm not changing

Wellington have not signed there coach for next season either. Veart to the Nix?

Hopefully,Talay , goes back.
I have a feeling that Talay is a great coach of a team that he can foster the "them versus us" elitist attitude in.

Having a kiwi team against the Aussies was an easy mark to foster that.

I do not think SFC players have the same sort of God, King and Country passion as the Nix under Talay - just the desire to wear the shirt and be winners.

Could be no such thing of course.

Joe Montemurro to replace Veart at Adelaide...?

I think that Talay is missing David Zdrilic's analysis' whilst DZ is missing Talay. The pair were a good combo.
