I have a sweet tooth and love ancient or medieval builds and love a good beer or wine

Beach of course is a no brainer
I'm there for 8 days

Best call it Kerkyra and try and avoid any place with "authentic" "orginal" or "zorba" in its name...

In fact any place with a menu in English, German and Polish is best avoided all together .... for sweets try the local bakery... follow your nose.

look up winery tours, can't remember the names we did some time back but great tasting and olives !
The wife is a foodie so we did some tours as well.
There are few better ways to discover a destination than through its food. Meet an accredited guide at the Old Fortress of Corfu for a fascinating culinary and cultural journey through Corfu Town's UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town. See some of Corfu's top cafés and restaurants on Spianada Square; stroll the island's former Jewish quarter; taste artisan produce in local stores and chat to the owners about their cuisine.

Or as MSC says winging it is cool - I like going to least busier places its got the real old feel no matter where when in europe.

I went to a pub last night to watch the champions league. The pub was packed because olympiacos the basketball team was playing real madrid. There was only a small corner of us watching the champions league.
I've also seen basketballs everywhere as well as basketball courts, only seen two footballs. Curious if this is a Kerkyra thing or something happening in greece?

I hope you celebrated the red bastards loss as much as I did? :P

Basketball is huge in Greece, both big clubs are vying for final four appearance (slim chance of both facing off in final) and pair that with the fact there aren't any Greek teams left in Europe and Im not suprised the TV was turned to the Euroleage.

Every neighbourhood/school has a basketball ring, ever since winning the Eurobasket in 1987 the whole country is mad for it... Football is still #1 though

How did you choose there? Interested to see your thoughts

There’s an awesome little island near turkey - kastellorizo (can’t remember how to spell it as there’s lots of ways) I’ve been 2 or 3 times, really cool place and very laid back. Not like typical Greek islands.

got invited to a work conference, so not up to me :)

Played a cricket game there a fuckton of years ago.

Now if you were enquiring about Mykonos I'm sure all the regulars here would have sound personal knowledge of the best hangouts (y)

So I ordered carbonara to take a break from 24/7 greek food

The restautant used cream rather than egg yolk and cheese!
