Just an indication of just how that fuckin looks like. Even your grandma is 5 pints in by 10 oclock around this country, it's utterly unreal how much piss they sink here. Supermarkets have these bottle recyclers for you to get 7kc back per bottle and it's like the second pay day after dole day for everyone here. Me and my mrs call them 'the czech ATM'
It's an absolute paradise.

Are there discussions or concerns about the consumption in the Czech Republic?

Germany's got a lot now about 'society's number one drug.'

No. Drinking here is a fundamental human right. It's only an "issue" if someone breaks social norms and is rude, loud etc. In 10 years I've seen 1 fight. Pub crawls have been banned for sole reason that tourists treat our home like shit. Worst 5 groups are UK, daylight, Irish, daylight, then I'd probably group in Germans and scandies but we'll down the order.

Adding on to previous. We have a public service which basically allows you to call it in when someone is drunk in the street. I mean, properly cooked but technically not at risk of death. You get scooped up and taken to a detox cell. Back in commie Era these things were hardcore. Basically designed to utterly shame you, wash you off with a firehouse etc. these days it's more like, cops will see that you're not harming anyone, so you'll go there instead and get a verbal the next morning. But if you're pulling genuine shit, then it's the cop shop and a fine. Tbh tho I never heard of a foreigner landing in one, they're probably good for some white on white racism and issued a fine on the spot.

The rationale is if we tax it people will drink less of it and yet overseas it's a quarter of the cost and somehow their societies manage to function.

And they wonder why everyone is on drugs.
Exactly. In Germany people get blind but rarely punch on. Australia people need one drop or even nothing to just get agro.

Something I don't miss is the beefed up blokes at beer gardens staring everyone else down would up like a spring.

Same goes for the regulation of vapes and tax on tobacco. Now we have tobacco wars in at least two states with regular arson attacks. Thanks government and thanks Karl Kruszelnicki you POS.

My post just before. Sure Germans punch on and I bet when they go there it's cheap and they have buying power and there's history between the two regions. UK is just..... When abroad.

Regarding Czech beers:

Tap:
Prague: Plzeň, kozel, Budweiser
Brno: Bernard, lucky bastard, polička, poutník, stern

Anecdotally Plzeň is a different beer on tap between Prague and Brno. Seems gassier in Prague

Bottle: Bernard, Plzeň, Budweiser if you must

Can: don't

Avoid: Radegast, Starobrno
Garbage: Krušovice, Gambrinus, Hauskrecht special mention as the worst ale

wow very interesting table r t s.
The Top 6 to me makes me think those nations are damn depressed !

I'm no amber liquid devotee got to say.
I actually forced myself mixing with the fellas during those pioneering teen days.
Its ok on hot days I get it but can't for the life of me nail down more than 3/4, bloats me more than anything else.
Surprised about Jim Boags, being from Tas and the cold water etc I was always led to believe its good, seems not haha
I get the craft of it all pardon the pun but not to my tasting/liking.

How do people rate, Moretti ? Dos Eques ?
I do like Asahi.

I like Boags. Asahi is a beer for a hot day. Both don't have a lot of taste but theyre refreshing.

Italians can't make beer and I don't think much of Spanish beers either but each to their own.

I like the cloudy more complex beers.

Peroni is one of the most popular beers in the world.

I like Birra Moretti and also the two major Peroni beers. Peroni Red is a little darker than Nastro Azzuro which I prefer living in a hot climate....

Yes peroni is ok I find it bitter whereas moretti is smoother I reckon and prefer it.
Peroni is like corona being the countries commercial beer like woeful fosters was from here.
I travel to Mex a lot over the years and not once do I see corona drunk much at all, my Mex mates say it’s piss like going for one haha

OK Muz re boags for I don’t mind it nice and really cold refreshing to me.

I'm far more into ales. But pilsners/lagers on a hot day can really hit well.

I spend some time around Andalusia each year to get an early bit of UV in when it's still a cold shithole up here. There's a lager called Victoria from Malaga which smashes the spot when you're out in the sun.

italian beers are shithouse. I spend my time getting Leffer for 2 EUR a bottle when I'm there and I'm always a borderline alco when I get back.

They tried marketing Moretti in Czech recently. I remember the facebook ad, what a sight. Something like 25,000 laugh reacts followed by maybe a hundred 'care' reacts. Poor bastards paid for that...

Still, not the worst for beer in Europe. That would be lovely Malta. They have something called Cisk. They rave about it. It's like fucking West End Draught complete with the toxic water taste. You need to find a brew wanker pub there to get something decent.
