Hey everyone, we’ve just launched Fan View, a new way for users to submit their own articles.

If you’ve got a well thought out take on the game, now’s your chance to share it with the community. Whether it’s analysis, opinion, or something in between, we want to hear from real fans with something to say. By the fans, for the fans.

Ive been thninkng about some ramblings for a while now... Ill pull my thumb out one of these days and commit to putting pen to paper....
 
Must the articles be Australian football specific?
Will there be an editor?

I like this idea and can see a lot of benefit to it.

As of now we have Australian football categories(Roos, aleague,npl etc) and world football. We can also add other content such as politics, tv, books, video games etc. if there is demand.

As of now no editor however low quality posts will obviously be removed.

I think it keeps to football. Just wasn't sure if it would specifically Australian football, but like that it's open to world football too.

Yeah focus is football as of now. I know we have a few diehard cricket fans for instance so an ashes write up this summer could work and would be of interest to some here.

Do we have to upload image attachments for articles we want to post to Fan View? I have some ideas of articles I want to write but unfortunately no images to go with them.
 
I am not likely to think deeply enough on football issues to write for it, but will readers post responses and discussion in that Fan View thread or will they stand alone and comments would go elsewhere?

So like the old 442 concept of articles that have a link to a discussion thread or the discussion follows in the article thread?

If you think for a single moment that having a specific place for an idea and/or discussion will keep other threads on track you really haven't been paying attention :)
