I don’t think it implies a stronger position, just using whatever means to stay afloat.

    Matildas friendlies in Western Australia

I thought football was a results driven game but seemingly a draw is much better than a win.🥴

According to their website the cost of a sports subscription is $15 per month on top of a basic package of $12 per month, so a total cost of $27 . That’s before they bump up the price for watching the EPL.

    Matildas friendlies in Western Australia

Well, Montemurro is obviously entering a honeymoon period with lavish praise from the media ( and some fans) for turning the Matildas around (?) in the two games that he’s been in charge . I hope that continues because they will turn on him savagely if we don’t win the Asian Cup. Just ask the...

People here complain about having to spend $11 a month for Paramount + to watch the A League. 😲

How long before people start to complain about having to pay for stuff they don’t want to watch because sport is an add on to their basic package. Foxtel all over again.

She didn’t get a lot of service but her positioning was terrible. I don’t think she’s the answer to our goal scoring woes.

That was a shocker of a game by the Matildas. Montemurro certainly has his work cut out if we are going to be competitive in the Asian Cup.

    ALM/W TV deal

My interpretation of a ‘fair deal’ was in reference to ‘eyeballs’ on the channel at any given time. If you saturate the sport segment of your nightly news with AFL or NRL you’re going to get a high percentage of the viewing population informed about that particular sport . Conversely , if a...

    ALM/W TV deal

The point is neither nine or seven want to promote domestic football here. There is rarely any mention of the A League in any of the sport segments on their FTA channels. They know that it’s a rival to their invested sports and want to keep it a ‘niche’ sport in the minds of the viewers.

    ALM/W TV deal

This is the reality for those delusional enough to believe that football would get a fair deal from the Nine or Seven.🤨

    ALM/W TV deal

Why is it that every time someone mentions achieving a football pyramid it becomes an enormous problem because it would (possibly) involve pro/rel. Most of the leagues in the world have some kind of pyramid system and some do involve pro/rel but here everyone gets filled with dread at the very...

    ALM/W TV deal

I don’t think the franchise model ever suited football here and now has created this rift between fans. The only solution is to return to a level playing field ( pun intended) so that all clubs that want to participate at the highest level can do so through their achievements on the playing field.
