I once played in a forum tourney... was good fun, there was like a round robin, it was kinda like a league.

Let me put it this way:

Since I bought a gaming PC for my sim-racing wheel, I paid for that annual EA pass that gets this game bundled in with it (along with F1, WRC, Madden, etc).
I'm glad I didn't have to pay anything extra for this game this year.

I'm very much an offline player, and the fact that there's no Socceroos, no Matildas, and only 29 national teams now (not even enough for a World Cup) - I literally turned this on once so I could play against a mate, and that's probably going to be it for me for another year.

I wish PES/eFootball didn't go to their online only crap, because that on PC was a wonder to play offline.

Haven't really played FIFA / FC since 2019, is the new one worth it? I also wish PES didn't ruin there game because it started getting very good pre eFootball. Does anyone on here play football manager?

It's definitely a different kettle of fish.

As for FM, I'm a hardened tragic.

I was really looking forward to the new game engine, hopefully its a better product in 2025 then what ever was going to be released in November. On a side note I wonder who does the scouting for info and stats in Australia for SI? The npl is so out of date haha!

Could be partly because of the seasons not aligning. I remember thinking the same when trying to pull stats from it once (I was trying to create ACT NPL in PES, but never completed anything past the kits/logos and extracting players from the FM database).

Could be possible that it's done pre-season for NPL (like in Feb/March), but is then held off until the game after. Not sure how out of date you're talking though, last time I looked at FM was 2021.

Sometimes the transfers are semi up to date but player info and stats is always at least 3 years behind. ACT NPL in PES sounded like cool idea shame you didn't get furtherer, if you are into modding pre frostbite FIFA games on the PC are pretty good.

Yeah the online game modes ruined games imo

I play a reasonable amount but my xbox is dying. Power cycle doesn't make games load fast, deleted a lot. I wait around 10min for EAFC 24 to start. The power block is also loud and vibrating. Something about the anti friction gun wearing away.

The fact that games should be ultra modern in the next few years, I'll be looking to get a modern console and new TV to enjoy GTA6 to the full. Can barely afford it but it's a worthy investment to switch off from work etc.

Every Xmas period I get the Fifa feels to play career mode with a packed schedule. League 1 side promoted season before having won a domestic cup so I've got 46 league games, Europe, FA, League Cups and EFL trophy.

I'll normally lose interest after 18 months of career mode and seek a change. Build the club and leave again.

I prefer players from 60-80 with my sliders. I don't really like using big clubs.

I also find I takes until about December for the updates to clear out the rigid game play. It often feels heavy and slow even with sliders. Maybe it's perception adjustment that after playing a good while the players glide more. It just feels really heavy and slow in the first month.

This Ballon D'or event has completely ruined this week's Ultimate Team for me.

Every half decent player has a Mbappe and Bonmati which just makes them borderline unplayable.
