Central Coast mariners vs Yokohama

They have taken a while, but they seem to have their act together now. Will be an interesting game. Mariners 3 - 2.
 
Bad sign when you are down 3 nil and the goal keeper is the best player...
 
The Mariners #8 McCalmont is ordinary - why sign a substandard OS player when you can bring young Aussie Midfielders like Eames through. If fact, most if not all of their signings are mid
 
Credit to Yokohama F Marinos they play a nice brand of football and were the better team from start to finish.

I do agree with young Eames he should play more, maybe he can start given their midfield is quite weak.

Hard to see the upside of Feijao. Torres and Tillio were starting to tear up the league by this many games in....
 
Australian teams seem to throw the ACL once it comes around. Don't think they'd win but a Mariners team from the last two seasons would be interesting.

Poor excuses but there's just a lack of seriousness in the ACL. Too good for AFC Cup and not serious enough in the ACL. It always comes across as disjointed while other nations go to win in.

Also the non -alignment with the East Asian nations calendar. An Australia team will never win the top prize in Asia again. When Adelaide did well and WSW won the first rounds were in February and they were well into their season. Now we start in pre-season and have played 6 games before we have played 6 games in the ALM.

yep, fix the season start and replace a salary cap with a luxury tax

even if they can't move the season earlier for financial reasons have a leagues cup running, preferably with a group stage format, so there are double the amount of competitive pre season games

Jacko signed him because he coached him at Leeds. Same with Edmondson who also has been very poor bar the grand final where he turned into prime CR7

There’s a huge gap in class between AFC cup and ACL.
