In terms of games - no. In terms of youth player development, I think that there is scope to keep watching.
Yeah as a neutral competition aside you watch for the upcoming players

Every team needs to have one for the game to be interesting

Newcastle and Perth don't really have anyone if Brisbane lose waddingham they won't either

Harrington and Brazete suggest you think otherwise.

Perth and Newcastle have a couple of young players that are worth keeping an eye on but the real problem is that the rest of the team won't allow them to develop to their full potential. Newcastle has Clayton Taylor (20 years) who would easily fit into the City or SFC lineup. Perth has Andriano Lebib (his save off the line yesterday was top notch) and he would definitely fit into City's ageing back line, and not sure what to make of Khoa Ngo.

I don't like to shoulder players with too high expectations but I'm going to call Brazete Aussie Messi or at least the New Arzani. Hope thats not raising expectations too high.

I think the crowds and ratings will be down again this round. With everyone back at work i reckon avg crowds will be 3k across the league.

If you wish to troll, please try harder. 3k ? 🤣🤣🤡🤡

I predict around 42000 at an average of 7000 per match.

Everytime I see Tarniet play I think Angus Thurgate's off the ball movement, link up and distribution abilities are to good sit at number 6.
Feel Tarniet was the wrong move for him despite current form, box to box is his game, also think he would step with better standard players around him.

A couple of observations while watching the game:
Up until he was exhausted, I thought Arzani was playing really well and did more running than I have seen him do since he was 18. The assist he got was a massive run that he hasn’t seemed interested in doing until tonight. Some of his touches and crosses were of a very good standard. It’s unfortunate that his tiredness resulted in a sloppy turn over that led to WU’s second goal.

Vickery seems like an interesting player. This was my first time seeing him play and he carried himself with confidence and poise. I’m curious to see how he develops.

Thurgate seems to be getting better with age. Maybe it’s his bald head but his passing tonight reminded me of Aaron Mooy. His corner for the third goal was great and his vision seems to have gone to the next level. If he can add more consistent goal contributions to his game, I can see him doing well in Europe. He’s around the age where Mooy was tearing it up in the A-League, so I think it’s possible for him to go up a level or two still.

I wish we had a striker like Ibusuki for the Socceroos. He knows where the goal is and uses his body and limited space very well.

Overall, a very entertaining game for a neutral.

What a top game of football, both teams played excellent attacking football and we saw some fine goals in the process.

Western United are a very entertaining team to watch, and they do it mostly with kids, in terms of kids I also thought that both wingers in Walatee and Vickery looked very dangerous in 1v1 situations and caused Victory alot of problems.

Victory haven't looked the same since PK left but I thought they played good football tonight, I think Jason Geria will be a big loss but I got question marks on their defence nevertheless.
