Triple M’s Marty Sheargold blasted over ‘disgusting’ Matildas comments

Sounds like he follows football and the Matilda's have been shite and there is infighting I don't have a problem with his rant
 
Anyone who’s watched him on Have You Been Paying Attention? over the years can attest to his vocal dislike/hatred of ⚽️ in general; he has form and then some in this area.

I wonder if Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee have ever seen fit to pull him up about it..

Fuckstick wanker and I usually like him on HYBPA and his stand up work.

What a flog. Don't like women's sport then don't watch it rather than devalue something that millions of women play. Does the flog have a daughter, sister or wife? Wonder how they all feel about that.

I take it you haven’t seen his anti-⚽️ work on HYBPA(sample: a political demonstration in 🇪🇺 turned violent, & on seeing the footage his first words were “You sure that wasn’t at an A-League game, Tom?”)

As to the second point, frankly he looks like someone who’s never had consensual hetero s3x in his life..so that narrows it down..

He's a comedian and it's cheap laughs. (They bag the bejesus out of everything on that show.)

I like him on that show because he says some pretty 'un PC' stuff which is rare for comedians these days.

Sometimes you take the good with the bad.

Way off the mark though with his radio comments though. (Not, sadly, without support from vast swathes of neanderthal men who can't stand the thought of women getting equal air time, equal press and heaven forbid, equal pay.)

Seemed to me like he was bagging the performance and the effort more than "women's sport" though .... If you want "anti PC stuff" to not dissapear entirely from our socitety then you cant cry foul when he throws a few sideways swipes mate .... I find him funny too, he seem really anti-soccer but that could also be a "persona"

After a conversation about Sam Kerr and her partner, American footballer Kristie Mewis, which included Sheargold’s question “do they play the same position?”, Ralston tried again to keep the bulletin moving.

“We’re 12 months out from Australia hosting the Women’s Asian Cup, so hopefully we have a better runway to improve before that comes around,” he said.

Sheargold responded: “Oh god. The Asian Cup. I’d rather hammer a nail through the head of my penis than watch that,” as a sound affect and more laughs were heard.

“Got any men’s sport?”

Ralston replied: “Yeah I do, baseball, the New York Yankees have dropped their 49-year ban on beards, on facial hair.”

“Now this is a good story,” Sheargold responded

I didn't cry foul, I said 'sometimes you have to take the good with the bad'.

My comment is directly related to him talking about women's sport in general.

Meh, so the turbo hates soccer... what else is new, it IS a Melbourne footy radio station.... As for the "got any men's sport"? well again meh, outrage for the sake of outrage .... he also famously claims that Midwives arent really nurses and GPs are glorified vets or something equally ridiculous .. its a fool, playing a fool on the radio ... who cares?

I'd probably agree with everything he said, but probably shouldn't be using crude language in a drive time timeslot on FTA radio. I'd say a good number of people think the same thing but aren't alcoholic enough to say it in such a manner.

I'm tired of the 'tillies' being rammed down our throat. They're not good, they've never been good, they fluked it to a SF in a home tournament in a shallow field.

Most of the time the only matches they're winning are friendlies or qualifiers against underprivileged countries where football isn't a priority for women who are busy trying to raise a family. They are the most overrated and overhyped sporting team in this tin pot nation's history and its all because they're being used to push a progressive agenda. They often behave like entitled spoiled brats and completely undeserving of the numerous accolades bestowed upon them by breathless Aussie mainstream media.
