SM socials have been pushing the whole "get in quick before this sells out" angle all week .... I dont think it will be bigger than last year.
 
come on sport, they have been doing great marketing for ages, the only reason not a sell out is SMH supporters not turning up to make up the numbers :)

unlike APIA and Marconi supporters turning up in their thousands up there eh? Full credit to Preston as I always do, but they and we know this is going to be their biggest crowd of the regular season ....

Our end will not pack out like last year. That match had like 2 months of build up, it was at a time when everyone thought the 2nd division in its proper format was going ahead this year. I saw faces there that night (old school south fans) that wont be at this one.

Less trouble makers as well, super womens coach and his gang for eg wont be there as he is part of the coaching staff at Hume and they play tomorrow as well.

Between one side of the ground being closed off and our end not being full no record/sell out crowd is occuring.

Still expecting 6,000+ to be announced when the real crowd will be more like 3500-4000

23K/// Hahahaha maybe if they include the carpark mate... not even close unless you have people standing 30-40 deep and not having any view of the pitch.

mate don't get all emo on me, we know APIA and infoact many NPL clubs don't get massive crowds well known.
Its fits and starts - good and not so good many at time.
Obvious Preston will have good crwod numbers having been MIA from top flight for so long.
Win win for the league and and you guys.
Not sure who to back mind you hahaha
Nah I'm the neutral here just want a good game and healthy support

I know man, Im just still shitty over Monday .... Ill be there ... just sucks caring too much about a club sometimes... farkin football eh?
 
Preston confirmed on socials that its the same arrangement as last year.

To put last year in perspective, a South official revealed the day before the game that just under a thousand tickets had been sold in the away end, hours before kick off it had approached 1,300 and all up it got close to 1,500 in total.

I dont see more than 300-500 being in the away end tomorrow, but i'd be interested if any numbers are revealed. I reckon Monday nights bullshit has taken care a few hundred easily. I know of a dozen ppl that are going to brunswick city v george cross instead (free entry and less hassle)

So this is a nonsense figure cos last years cup game was announced as 6,500 with an entire wing being empty.

Either its more or last years figure was inflated.

The messages this morning are flying thick and fast.. Three car loads of us are now debating attending.. My plan is to rock up early, park and hang around the carpark until the team-list is announced before buying a ticket.... Who knows what big brain "plan" they have concocted for the sake of "metrics" this time round?

Bunch of "efnik balkans" hanging around a carpark, what could ever possibly go wrong there???
good thing we dont matter (post nsl) bc if we did and channel 9 rocked up i see you getting blamed for everything from the Don Mackay murder all the way down to the Harold Holt dissapearence!! 🤣🤣
