FIFA will consider expanding teams to 64 for 2030 WC

It's shite because it ruins qualifying which is fun on its own. It's just the way the world is going money over substance
 
Once they go to 64 it will never come down again. It will also mean that hosting a World Cup becomes hard to do for a lot of countries. Given it's all just about money anyway they will probably just have the US and Saudi Arabia hosting on rotation in the future anyway.
 
good let FIFA keep screwing up the game, in time things will pop and breakways/revolts will occur as we know.
Not that I like that to happen but under valuing the WC more and more will force alot of hands starting with the one coming, then we shall see what bubbles to the top.
There will be a reset one day no doubt.

It's a race to the bottom as to who is more greedy FIFA or UEFA.

64 team world cup will cause the clubs to snap. 48 is already too many.

Aren't all sport codes greedy it's not just football?

Look at boxers fighting YouTubers? NFL playing games overseas? Afl with round zero? Golf selling out to Saudis. Sure there are more examples

It's the way the world is going sadly

Don’t know what afl is doing being such a minnow compared to global sports not worth mentioning :)

Some of this commercialism of sport works for the lesser known ones and good on it but football motor sport yes golf etc these are the ones that get so disrupted due to many and expansions something will give for there is so much money and many many participants things will break players incl ie football so many fixtures.
Interesting re the Saudi golf regards this.
Norman’s mantra was that the PGA kept so much money for itself ala FIFA for eg.
LIV has less fixtures and the players get paid a hoot in this case it’s a win and kick up the arse to the establishment PGA.
What did they do soon enough - oh increased the prize money and spread further down the player ranking list.
Good kick up the arse that was.
It’s yet to settle between the 2 comps but it’s coming the PGA has lost too many high ranked players that the PGA miss’s.

oh for sure especially after the US offering TC a envelope full and citizenship for whats the diff 1 island to another at Samoa :)
