Im sticking with my 2-0 South ... and we carry Esteban (2024 NPL VIC coach of the year) off the pitch on our shoulders..... hahahahahaahahaahahaah
 
Taking nothing away from other more recognised derbies (see the knights - and given we always liked to think we transcended the localness of this one), but for me, it remains traditionally the biggest match we have, atleast from a community/culutral sense.

We have seen fantastic matches over the years filled with passion, tension, players crossing over you name it its been felt in this one!

Given its a derby prognostics go out the window once more here and im inclined to agree with most in the sense it will either be scrappy win or we get run over with a draw being the least viable result here.

As always im 100% hopeful of the win - sure as hell wont carry Estaban off if it happens unless its to throw him on a departure plane back to south america... but on the other hand the bergers push for a spot in NSD (especially at the cost of Choakely the pretenders) keeps me somewhat happy inside!
 
Ordinarily i'd back heidelberg over oakleigh any day, especially for that nst spot. However it will make it harder to lure JA across.

The next month of games are scary, we are playing teams that are genuinely capable of embarassing us to the point of no return.

yeah agree, the Bergers game is the one that counts every year.... Knights a very very close second though...

Firstly Kudos for spreading the gospel of the mighty Hellas.
If it make you feel any better I was pestering a mate for ages to come along to South and when he finally agreed a couple of years ago, I warned him not to expect great things, we were having a bit of a lull in the season and Port Melbourne were a solid outfit etc etc etc..
