They can afford to lose a couple of hundred member and not break a sweat mate.

Apparently, and take this with a huge grain of salt, there is still a big desire to get a team in NZ.... AFL really feel like this is one market they HAVE to have to compete with NRL... Absolutely NO interest in NT which, in my opinion, is the only real un-represented fan base left for them in Australia ... not enough population or money.... bloody franchise football shits me in all its codes

Ironically i asked AI who they would suggest would take the the 20th licence and why. An NT team was ahead of Canberra.

Bring back Fitzroy and South Melbourne imo.

Wagga is right on the battle line and the AFL has thrown millions on it. Plus, Wagga also produces an inflated number of athletes in proportion to it's size. So there you go.
