Big blow to Melbourne City with Nabbout ruled out for the rest of the season (ACL) and Tilio out for 6-8 weeks (hamstring).
Will almost certainly mean some of the young attackers get a run.

And CCM have lost Tapp, plus Di Pizio and Sainsbury until at least January.....a huge blow to them.

I wonder if they ask the question of Bruno??

You’d have to say this season is going well:

- player wages and club spend is down
- TV ratings and average attendance is up

Oh no!

Welcome to the forum, Super Pom.

Also appreciate this ladder denotation. The best I've seen.

Amazing to see Auckland on top. It will be interesting to see how they go when they play in Aus?

You’d have to say this season is going well:

- player wages and club spend is down
- TV ratings and average attendance is up

Once again it is pleasing to see this.

I think there is a chasm of improvement in standard. I'm biased of course. I've mainly watched the two Melb teams, and whoever they've played.

Will almost certainly mean some of the young attackers get a run.
I'm really disappointed.

Nabbout was one of the few Aussie central strikers playing in the AL. He was also showing some decent form.

Tilio seems to have be in form after recovering from injury. He is in the Socceroo frame.

Melb City have played some good passing football too.

Yeah really feel for the bloke. At 31, it's going to be hard to come back from that injury and find form again.

And CCM have lost Tapp, plus Di Pizio and Sainsbury until at least January.....a huge blow to them.
Tappy is gone for the season

Maybe these injuries so early in the season are a good reason why they don't do my midweek game training thought.

It is crazy that so many players are getting so badly injured before the season is even settled.

Training too hard and leaving muscles too weak to protect the player or just bad luck?

It might be a smarter practice to start the season slow after all. Carn the Roar - our slow start is obviously to plan then.

Is there any merit to comments I remember reading on the old forum years ago about rock hard training pitches in summer being the enemy of soft tissue injuries?

I am sure I remember that being touted when we trained at Ballymore. I genuinely do think that hard training pitches flow through into injuries with no medical training to back it up beyond common observation and supposition.

Is their money to be made by someone with biometric training (?) who can work with a horticulturist and soil specialist to create a cost effective ground softening technique other than coring and watering more frequently?
