A-League Mens 24/25 - Quarter Final

AU were woeful. In the first half, apart for the first 6 minutes, were playing pinball football whereas WU were playing like a team in the 21st century. Then some players had shockers and below their normal standard - Alegich, Kitto and Mauk.
Second half they were better but so was WU.
 
What happened to Adelaide United’s fluid football, the fact they couldn’t take advantage of the midfield (4 vs 2) was baffling especially when they go back to their keeper only to kick it long.

You can tell their performances have dropped based off on how they played tonight and the last several games, a shame given they started the season so well.

Hopefully their new coach can continue to improve them for next season.
 
WU are a great team to watch for a neutral - heaps of young Aussie talent in the squad. John A has implemented a great style of play & the team is executing. Botic has to be included in the Socceroos squad - even if he doesn't make his debut

Particularly in the first half, their football was seriously impressive. So many A League teams pass the ball in slow motion. Last night, WU were absolutely pinging it around. Best execution of a hard press I think I've seen in an A League game.
 
Cracking game of football, both teams are playing well.

Daniel Arzani is playing well especially, causing WSW’s defence all sorts of problems.

WSW are not playing that badly, but the likes of Milanovic have been quiet so he needs to step up.
