Cirro keeps teasing me via leaving my preferred 17 possible in the final 19.

I swear that the dude is reading my posts here, and is messing with my head.

I'm ruling out Marki, because Cirro keeps selecting Burto at 5/8.

I've never seen ODF post here when Cirro is in the coaches box - just saying.

Hayes moves onto the edge. Hopoi onto the bench. Well deserved. A small team against the Raiders. This could be a tough game. Need to start well.

I'm here don't you worry. Just keepng a low profile hd.

The lack of middles is a problem against the Tits and Canberra.

DSF, Morrin and Hopoi have been going great in reserve grade, time to find out what they can do in the NRL.

Hughes isn't back before round 12, Underhill can't play NRL before round 10 and doesn't seem to be ready.

We have a few new names in the reserve grade squad, one of them is a prop who is starting this week with Underhill. I have a feeling that there may be another prop.

Guys like that can play NRL after round 10.

I think that the club is still searching for quality middles who can play Cirro's system.

The young middle we signed from the Dragons is an absolute gun who is tearing up reserve grade at around 19 years old.

Still plenty of room for change and improvement in this seasons side. More size and power in the middle while retaining defensive standards is the aim.
I know the Raiders are Favourites because we're missing players, but the media are definitely having a wank fest over the Raiders now.

We definitely have the players to win, regardless of the final 17.

Souths beating Broncos shows how close the comp is. A Bennett/Latrell master class.

Dry conditions suit us. The Raiders are good but we are a definite chance.

A win today could set us up for a minor premiership. Imo it’s an even greater achievement than a grand final win. Although I obviously would prefer the latter.

After this game we don’t leave Sydney until round 19 against the Cows. A long run of games so close to home should give us a huge chance of winning most of those games. A loss today certainly isn’t going to hurt in the long run. But a win would be much better 😂

Hopgood facing a $1,000 fine for a crusher tackle similar to Presto's.

I want to beat the Raiders to silence our critics and stick it to the NRL for the unfair suspension.

Fines are a good idea, but penalties should mainly compound for the same offence. 1 week would have been ok.

At times it seems that the NRL is lacking basic common-sense.

I also want to win because the Roosters and Fins games will not be a walk in the park. We need to bank every win, because we never know when the next loss is coming.

If we lose 2 in a row, the critics will come out of the woodwork, keep the winning momentum going.

I hope Presto's suspension is giving the boys extra motivation, it has fired me up.

Just being outplayed so far unfortunately.

Too many errors.

The game plan assumed at least a 50 / 50 share of possession.

Definitely one of the best victories in the last 20 years.

Still a few things to work on.

Lots of mistakes in the first half.
This what makes it a great victory typical from the 90 s and 80 s . Not playing the best but somehow finding a way to win . This team reminds of the Lamb, Price , Dymock , Pay , Mccraken , Dallas era .

After the effort that Canterbury put in last year, I believed that Gould had signed the right 'assistant' and I also believed that the team could go one better in 2025, but never had I foreseen that the team would be 8-1 after 10 rounds and on top of the table. To those people who were saying that we haven't beaten any 'top four' sides, well guess what, they just played the so called 'benchmark' team and blew them off the park in only 40 minutes while giving them a 20 point head start. I know that it is early days and premierships are not won in May but I am stoked by their effort so far. I also must conceed that I was not real fussed when they bought Crichton because I thought he was asking too much. I have to eat humble pie, he is the most important signing in this new Bulldogs era. He is the key piece in this jigsaw and I think he will captain the Dogs to a premiership or three. Also congratulations to Dman, he entered the first post in our new home and the first sentence was "NRL Premiers 2025". GO THE DOGGIES.

We definitely have the right coach and the right captain.

The second 40 was the best half of attacking football sometime.

I don’t remember any mistakes after the Burton drop early in the half.

The King try was a highlight with Sexton stepping up with 2 good plays in a row.

Hayward added another dimension to our attack, his passing creates time and space. Hayward seems to pass at the right time and his execution is excellent, the guy catching the ball always seems to have time and space.

For the slow starts, i think replacing DSF, Montoya and Salmon with better options can improve our completions.

The players we missed the most were Hughes, Preston and Curran.

I'll be happy if Hughes can get back to his 2024 form by the end of the season,

Compared to 2024, the strong start and better depth. means that we should the squad in better shape at the business end.

This game was a promising sign that our 2025 attack should be better than 2024.
