Wonder if Socceroos will have any late withdrawals too?

Seems to have become a regular thing for the first time since the 90s
A decade ago games and info were sparse. What a fortnight ahead with all the teams playing somewhere in the world and all at generally best strength too.

All I can remember were U17 qualifying in some Burmese rainforest but not much else. Regular camps and a range of opponents is a good thing.

Pretty heavy loss and badly outplayed

Game ends 5 -2
The CFA brought 23 U16 players over to Germany between Feb and March /April under a co operation with Bundesliga International and CFA.
They trained transitional play and trained with several academies including Dortmund.
Noah's U16 team had a friendly against them and Eintracht won 2-1.
To be honest I'm not sure how many of those boys were in the lineup against Australia today.
But I hear the co operation is long term so expect China to get stronger with time.

I have heard that since 2002 when I did a project on China in Year 4. Excuse me if I roll my eyes at yet another false dawn.

5-2 loss would never have been a reality in 2002.Either Australia is going backwards in youth football or China is starting to do something right.

The u16 cohort might not be as strong as others. The u18 & u20 squads are awesome & they're not even full strength. I loved seeing Overy in an Australian jersey after playing for Scotland previously.

The u16 2009-2010 cohort is actually very strong but a lot of the best potential players aren't there on this trip, it's the first team they've made for this cohort, just a feeler.
