Kasey Bos departs Melbourne Victory to join Bundesliga club Mainz 05

Mainz 05 sporting director Niko Bungert backed Bos – whose brother Jordan plays for Belgian club Westerlo – to succeed in the Bundesliga.

“Kasey is a hard-running player on the left flank with strengths in both attack and defence,” Bungert said.

“Additionally, his brave style of play was a strong fit for what we were looking for. He has already been able to prove his talents in the A-League. We believe that he has what it takes to make it in the Bundesliga.”

Hopefully, he gets game time and plays well rather than being loaned out.

In other news, Ange Postecoglou is reportedly being lined up for a shock return to management in Saudi Arabia.

The ex-Celtic boss was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last week despite leading the North London club to Europa League glory.

Now, he is being 'lined up' to replace highly-rated young German coach Matthias Jaissle at Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ahli, claims The Telegraph.

Am I right to think Arzani will do better at a big club in a league? Where they expect to control the ball and break down a defence.

That seems logical, assuming Arzani is in the starting 11, which I don't think is a given looking at their squad. Having said that, I'm guessing Keane has targeted Arzani to replace their current rw (Adama Traore) whose contract is up.

It's interesting if Botic turned down St Pauli. I would have thought they were a good option for him.

Very weird maybe he has better offers? seems like a good move to me. He already spent some time in Germany before too.
