Finally a proper def midfielder who can hopefully make that position his own! Has been an obvious sore point since the Peios departure!

Also not replacing Barcia was a massive error. Peios was never played in his actual position under Esteban, he was always moved out onto the wing.

Menelaou has been a target for the club for over a year now so it’s good to finally have him at the club.

He sounds like a good pick up. Hopefully he can get a 20 minute run on Friday night from the bench.

This should provide additional defensive cover in the middle of the pitch.

He should be available for both the Dockerty Cup semi final as well as the Australia Cup match against South Hobart.

Next up the defender from Queensland, hopefully an attacking mid and another forward option after that. 2 more after the queenslander would be ideal. This will also strengthen our bench.

Essentially we require 1-2 decent options on the bench at any time. That would be Andy Brennan plus 2 new signings. That gives Andy the opportunity to come on and be an impact player for last 20-30 minutes.

I have no dog in this fight, but the only way I can see it making actual sense is because it was a one off game to see who is allowed to take part as opposed to playing in a game that is part of a qualifying competition.

Roar did not get into any competition stage of the Australia Cup or qualifying.

Knights won, which suits us, we are 7 points above the bottom 3.

Knights will struggle to win another game, should have been 4 goals down in the first 20.

I think 1 more win will do it overall.

Hard to see Knights, Port or Victory getting to 25 points.

The only thing we need to watch out for is the unlikely event of knights beating st albans and then having Oakleigh throw them the catchup game the following week.
